The movie is awesome...you would never guess from the sparkling Times Square we see on TV that it was one of the worst places to be back then. Plus all the quotes...CAN YOU DIG IT??!! :RockOn:

There's a remake being made by Tony Scott that should be out next year. Thing is, it really doesn't look like it has a whole lot in common with the original - the gang numbers are way higher (in the thousands), it's set in L.A. and it's set in modern day. It's a smart thing not to remake an already excellent film to begin with, but what's the point of calling this a remake if it really doesn't have a whole lot to do with the original.
