Wtf happened to the trees being plucked from the ground, and that smokey flying shit?? Shouldn't these stuff still be happening in the background, even if the story is focusing on all that interpersonal drama and conflict? It's just weird that all of that has been on pause ever since the two camps met up, and the Others are in the picture.

Come on ... bring that invisible Godzilla and flying shit back!

I'm totally talking out of my ass here, but I had the impression that part of the reason that the black smoke -- a/k/a the "security system," as the French woman described it -- wasn't as much a part of the show as it used to be is that the Lostaways had basically learned what areas to avoid to avoid "triggering" the system.

Or maybe Eko scared it off when he stared it down... ;)

The last few weeks have been gangbusters BTW. Can't wait for the next 2 weeks...

also keep in mind that although we've been watching season 2 for months now, i think it only takes place over (maybe) a few weeks at most, so the black smoke incident with eko probably happened a week or two ago as far as they are concerned so it still is pretty recent, although for us it seems like ages

Frankly ... Michael needs to be shot. His fucking lame erratic ass is very nerve racking. So far I do not like the spin ... I felt it was a pretty piss poor episode. time filler ... and for a grand smack season final ... I want ot be pushed to the edge. This one almost put me to sleep. I really hope they are not going to leave it on the edge so we have to wait until next season. fuckers.

Still ... how did he end up on the island ... was he sailing round the world? And where did he leave to?

The way these characters cross each other's paths in their flashbacks are feeling somewhat contrived when taken too far. Let's hope the producers are not going to pull a Deus Ex Machina.

But yes, Walt is irritating, Eko is cool. John can be irritating too.

Sayid is cool, but Evangeline Lily for pres. IMO :D
