I am nearly finished with the first season of HBO's Deadwood and it is friggen fantastik. I don't have cable so I can't watch season two and am religated to the DVD's. Can anyone comment if season two is as good as the first? What series should I start watching next on DVD?

i still shat all over myself for the sopranos (& am fully enjoying season 5 since it was released about a week ago since i have no HBO).

but i am totally into deadwood because of the interactions between characters, everyone hiding a part of their past, it being based on true events, & it is a modern western. i must recommend to anyone who hasnt seen it, but only watch without little tikes around.

Sorry to say, but the 2nd season of Deadwood wasn't as good as the first imo. The second season of Deadwood isn't bad, but not as good as the first season.

As for the Sopranos, the first 3 season are the best. Season 4 and 5 are good, but not as good as the first 3 seasons. Season in March 2006.

24's season 4 was a big improvement over last season and imo the best show on TV I've seen so far this year.

Someone just gave me the [b]alias[/b] DVDs. Has been an awesome way to vegetate after exam season. Lots of twists and turns, not sure if i like it more than 24 yet, but series 4 of that hasn't made it to DVD yet.

For pure vegitative purposes, I would have to say Family Guy. No real plot to stay on top of but clever and funny as all hell.

Only yesterday did I figure out that the voice of Meg was Jackie from "That 70's show"

I thought the opposite, I thought it got better, as opposed to Carnivale which went downhill in season 2. Love Deadwood.
