Re: Crash
Just saw this and loved it. What a great examination of the darker side of human nature, when we react to the life's problems without thinking how it will effect others, and eventually oursevles. I loved the interlocking story lines and there was many great performances and excellent dialogue. The scene when Matt Dillion pulls Thalia Newton from the wreck was powerful stuff.

it is one of the few movies released this year that makes u reflect during and after watching it. it does a great job of allowing people to see that racism/ prejudice is still a very real thing.[/quote]
I agree, it definitely had me thinking about myself and how I play my little role is this tragedy.
I also think they did a really good job addressing some of the stereotypes about racism by showing how everyone holds prejudice.. white, black, asian, latino, middle eastern. We are all guilty of this at one time or anther.
Another point is that the movies stops short of preaching... they lay out the events for better or for worse, but don't make any judgements. You see how the characters react to their perdiciments and to their own actions, but in fairness you also see how there can be valid justification for why people feel the way they do, even if the end result is not pretty. I always appreciate when a movie can deal with a vulgar issue without getting sactimonious-- it is what it is, it exists and we will discuss it.
