A insightful movie of following a 13 y.o.kid with asperger's syndrome who gets lost in the NYC subway. I'm going to enjoy this, as it has been claimed quintessential NY. .

Looks really interesting; let us know if the movie stands up to the trailer.

I would recommend Woody Allen's Manhattan and Greta Gerwig's Frances Ha.

It's funny, I kinda missed out on these NY-based films and stuff when I was younger so I never really got the 'hype' about NY even after arriving. But watching 'Manhattan' was the closest approximation to 'getting it' (I still do think it's a lot of overrated hype and mystique, especially Brooklyn  it's just like Surry Hills or Melbourne's Fitzroy.)

Re: Stand Clear of the Closing Doors [2013]

Yeah true, like every other major metropolis they are all have some similar characteristics, but I always had wanted to see NYC. It's a city that I feel is like no other, I think it has so many aspects to cover, but for you having livd/worked there I'm sure you do see past the title.

But until I experience it myself, can't call it yet.
