Don't know if any of you cats caught the show last night - but I was most impressed - Macfarlane kept his perfect mix of pop references, physical comedy, and topical humor in tact.
Don't know if American Dad will last though. Very boring IMHO.

family guy was pretty good last night. mel gibson better not be coming out with a sequel to his pssion of the christ.
american dad is basically the same cartoon only not as funny. it has aired before and i didn't like it. nothing has changed, i still didn't like it.

I'm not a big fan of the show but some friends who are came over last night, it was pretty good. I always thought it was a Simpsons ripoff, but I think it's more fair to say it's "inspired" by the Simpsons, and has developed into its own thing.

Just want to add that Cleveland is my favorite character on that show. but Family Guy is full of characters. I know Jackie from the 70's show did that voice for Meg Griffin. missed the show last night but i think Meg has a new voice now. nebody notice that??

FamilyGuy.com shows that it's still her doing Meg's voice. You're probably thrown off because they haven't done the voices in 4 years. I noticed that Brian and Stewies voices seemed more prompt and to the point than normal, too

At last it's back.
This is probably the first show in TV history to be canned by a network, but makes it way back, rightfully so, onto national tv once again.
I think the DVD sales of Seasons 1-3 really, really brought this show back into life!
That Hitchcock North by Northwest movie reference was cool.
