This was pretty amazing. Movie felt a bit long at times but wasn't much of a complaint. The film was well paced, the tension drawn out and the story took its own time to tell. You could really see the characters of the ape evolving through the film. The CG is just so. mind. blowing. I was completely enraptured by the apes, the humans were secondary. There should be a new award category for people like Serkis.

Way too slow for my taste...some of the scenes seemed endless. Apes behaving more human than humans was a bit too predictable for me. Some good special effects but nothing mind-blowing.
I don't know if I'm done with this type of kiddie movies but when I saw one of the Apes riding a horse and firing a machine gun I wanted to leave the theater. I give this movie 2 stars out of 5.

Saw this a few days ago, was good but nothing special. I loved the last one and was expecting more from this one, but kinda fell flat. Rise of the planet of the apes is an excellent movie.
