The MPAA would never go for it, and neither would the studio. The script that's been circulated is still quite brutal and savage but very toned down compared to the Chanwook Park adaptation.

That's too bad. The brutality and savagery of the action scenes cannot come close to the twistedness of the incest and tongue scene, that's what set it apart and really got under my skin watching it the first time.

I have mixed feelings about this american version. The korean version is one of my fav movies in that genre ( there is 2 films in this triology set-Lady Vengeance & Mr. Vengeance= both are excellent films). The only reason I'm not ranting over this, is because of the Star actors -Josh Brolin, Sam Jackson, Sharlto Copley & more. It will not even come close to original, but I think it will be outstanding (A for effort).

I've seen the original a few times and this version is nowhere near as good.. maybe I am biased because I've seen the original first and I really liked it, but I didn't enjoy this all that much.
