What a load of boring tripe!I sat through this last night, mainly because I think Penn is an excellent actor, but this was just so long and drawn out I was fast losing patience.

Storyline was really confusing and the ending was flat as well.Penn puts in a good performamce at least.

Worst thing was, I was on a 1st date with a girl, and now she must think I'm a right barrel of laughs after making her sit throug that!

Re: The Interpreter (Sean Penn/Nicole Kidman)

I'm more disappointed with Sydney Pollack (the director), while he had a solid idea (plot conspiring to kill a diplomat in the UN), the story fell apart and Nicole Kidman had nothing to do but look panicked.

Sydney Pollack has done conspiracy films way better than this, look at Three Days of the Condor!
