Pretty cool; there were things I really liked about this movie (Creasy's relentlessness, Dakota Fanning, the structure of the story) and things I really didn't like about this movie (largely style over substance - what was with the unnecessary subtitles??)

It's Tony Scott though, so I cut him a lot of slack, as he directed one of my all time favorites, True Romance.

Re: Man On Fire

Fantastic movie. 10/10 and one of the best flicks ive seen for quite sometime!!

The main actress in the movie is an aussie which is always good :)

Re: Man On Fire

Style was dope. Characters were good. Pacing was really good. Beautiful flick. Thought the story was predictable.... however for me anyway...... the technical aspects of the film outweighed the story.

I liked it the first time round when it was called Natural Born Killers.

Oiver Stone called, he wants is filming style back.

Re: Man On Fire

the original was better, IMO. then again, anything with joe pesci is gold.

Re: Man On Fire

This has got to be one of my favorite movies. The characters, the story... All good. I really enjoyed the cinematography. It was similar to "28 Days Later."

I hated it....

Re: Man On Fire

there was one interesting thought in this whole movie: the notion of ransom insurance but once that was on the table, the films obvious predictability made it seem long and tedious.

Re: Man On Fire

Excelent movie. I saw it only a couple of days ago... rented it. I didn?t know there?s an original... is it called the same? Cast?? Denzel Washington is a great actor... and that kid did a really good job... although she didn?t act much. I?ve seen a couple of movies whith her and she?s pretty good.... don?t you think?

Re: Man On Fire

thr original is called the same, has generally the same plot, but stars scott glenn in denzels role and pesci in walkens role. the film as a whole was done better though you might say the new one has better acting cuz of denzel. but not really the whole cast was better in the old.

Re: Man On Fire

awesome soundtrack ? you gotta be shitting me .... thats the one thing I didnt like about the movie at all..... music and vocals SO did not belong there.... fucking gladiator rip off imo

Re: Man On Fire

^^ the track in that they liked playing so much did sound like the intro to "earth song" from gladiator .
I must say though the film is a damn good one but tried to be different with the flashing of events . I understand that it was to shorten the film so they could concentrate on character development and all that stuff but it was still irritating
