that show is crazy. I got all the way through season one, and about halfway through season two and had to turn it off. it was just so maddening.

Yeah, I found it pretty good for the most part, but it does run out of steam near the end - the storylines start to get increasingly sensational and a bit over the top. Bill Paxton, Jennine Triplehorn and Chloe Sevingy are great in it.

i figured as much. I mean, it was so over the top in the second season as it was. "increasingly sensational" is exactly how i would describe it.

Yes. His tentacles extend far deeper than we dare to imagine.
It does find its groove a few seasons in, the politics aspect and Paxton's character's take on Mormonism in relation to it is where the series found its stride. Stick with it, I say.

Tony Soprano's mom reminds me of everything i hated about big love haha
