Since the Download Page is gone.

How about we start a megathread for all Transition sets like the Essential Mix thread?

Or we have a Transition prefix/tag to differentiate these threads in the forum?

There're a lot of other Digweed sets/threads in this forum and I'd hate for the Transition ones to be lost since that's special in relation to [MS].

The problem with megathreads is the individual posts don't work with DJDB subscriptions... megathreads are good for keeping a bunch of related sets together, but that's also what the Downloads section of this page is for:

Not even if he, HG, detags and retags the thread for each newest post, it's once a week, not every day, after all.

Or, even better, he posts it in Digweed's subforum as usual, and users and rss get the alert, but then links and tracklitings gets collected in a locked megathread.

I think this is best. Or, all sets get their own thread, and there's one megathread that contains a link to each individual thread on [ms].

Actually, I really like that... I might make it a rule for all megathreads going forward :D

^^Maybe if each thread gets a Transition tag/prefix so they stand out within the forum, and your Megathread will automatically update only with threads that have the Transition tag?

So you don't have to do the Megathread menually each week, and that way, the conversations, tracklistings and the posts for each week only reside in the week's thread without clutterring the Megathread.

Imo there is no need for a Transitions megathread. You can either search for the shows by prefix now or if you are subscribed to Digweed in our DJdatabase you don't need to look out for them at all because you see them in your front page in the subscriptions section. And we will continue with the Archive so all mixes of a month including the track lists will also be available in 2011. I don't think we need more.

Yeah that's a good point, forgot about the archives.

So maybe just a Transitions tag/prefix since the system is already in place? Would make the shows stand out more on the forum.

Maybe we could still have a link on the "download" page that points to the thread in the JD forum. So that download page could still be the one stop shop like before.

Prefix is already available. I have edited the so far made mixes and added the prefix and Homegrove will use it for all future threads.

This would need extra coding for Adam (who already has a long list of things he wants to implement) and I think it's unnecessary. Subscribe to JD and you will see them automatically in your front page or search for them by prefix and you find them all in under one minute. If you miss several weeks, you will find them anyways in the Archive.
