my review

I stayed until the last track. He really doesn't care anymore. He just wanted to get his check and leave which he did 10 min early at 6:50. And what gaul the man has. After playing relentless nothing the whole night he drops some twilo classic (appollo something 440 - liquid cool) as his last track. Those brainless kids in the front of the booth where screaming at him like he was the second coming of Christ the whole night. He must of been just laughing to himself at how musically uneducated the whole crowd was. If this was a serious club everyone would of ben in the basement where there was actually some real djing going on.

and as for Sleepy & Boo

They were on a short leesh after digweeds set. The first 4 mixes they wrecked and the 5th was really bad.

Dj's just dont care anymore.

^ What are you laughing at red1. This topic has gone way to far. Still funny in way though to see everyone scabble for a set that does not exist.

Re: John Digweed - Live at Pacha, NYC (04-01-2007)

true but I highly doubt it was ever recorded except for the man himself. So the chances of this seeing the light of day is really slim.

From all of the reviews I've heard of this event you're the only one with negative take on his set. Now I wasn't there but I saw him in Dallas this last year and it was F'n great. What do you expect him to spin. It sounds like YOU might be the one expecting Christ to be behind the decks. And dropping Liquid Cool as the last track........ But I guess everyone has their own opinion .

Re: John Digweed - Live at Pacha, NYC (04-01-2007)

I haven't unzipped this .rar file yet. I have RAR software unzipper on another PC not here with me now. I'm curious now all the hubbub over this set. Other than that, Digs really hasn't stirred my proggy tea in a long while. Not like Tarkan, D-Phrag, V-Sag, and other newbies making awesome - truly awesome progressive sounding sets.

Well, I'm looking forward to hearing this one, and if a password is needed, I'm sure Ska will make it available soon. :)

One song does not make a set. Ive been studying S&D since there twilo days. This was mundane set of nothing. He kicked it up a notch around 4:30 then just was teadering around with off beat stuff for the rest of the night.

Re: John Digweed - Live at Pacha, NYC (04-01-2007)

Ok, it's been a while since I have posted anything, I feel ashamed. This place is awesome and I look forward to getting my sets every week so the very least I could do is say thanks.
Now this thread has been a riot to read and has kept me smiling at each new post and has kept me busy for the last 40 minutes reading each post. Oh people, there is some classic material here. From the haters to the players. I say thank you to each and every one of you. HAHAHAHA! Lighten up people it's only a set not the end of the world. Blasphemy say you? OMG is that my avatar? Jesus Christ what the hell was I smoking? Gonna, gotta, will change that. Oh that is so much better. Whew! So much for the Anya or whatever it was.
its clearly not 'just' a set. Its Digweed live at Pacha, NYC!!
I wish I had been around. Just moved to Forrest Hills but this job never leaves me time on the weekends to do anything. Plus I never seem to stay up on the when, who and where part. That is kind of important. :|
