He didn't train wreck that night at all. His set was perfect. Unfortunatley, the power went out twice. The same thing happened when Sasha played that summer, as well as a few other nights.

no, he didnt trainwreck...but he had a couple of mixes where he just couldnt keep the beats matched perfectly for about a minute

if some think he wasn't able to keep the beats 2gether for a couple tracks it was because deep dish were rocking shots in the booth all morning long. hahahaha. for a 7 hour set, i'd say it's pretty impressive to have 95%+ of your tracks matched perfectly

On a different note...where did this portion of the set come from? And is there any more of it? The opening set that night was also one fo the best I've ever heard.

just watched john work for 6 hours last night. dunno about you, but to me it sounds like he is mixing almost constantly. not to mention he is sampling certain measures to mix longer and longer. he's not just playing a cd then another cd, he's actually "mixing" i blame those imperfections on the gear, but yes john is human. only last night he was bringing in the Psychout track and the cd started skipping before the meat of the track came. he decided to hit eject before things got messy. granted, silence after a 4 hour slaughter was pretty painful, but he recovers nicely during those moments.

I saw sasha's set at cavo in august and I don't remember any power blackouts...

did you see him at pawnshop? i heard it sucked, but then again i don't trust many people when it comes to digweed well bc they just aren't musically educated enough. glad to hear a solid review. i don't see how he could suck esp at wmc. can't wait to hear the sets on kiss many months down the road
