Agreed, loads of Live In.... CDs make this less fresh.

I would love to hear 2 hours of really well programmed sounds from Diggers, there is something about his sets when he plays a little more downtempo that I adore too.

His beach sets are always some of the sassiest sets out there, while still retaining that underground vibe nicely.

There's a couple different ways I look at this.

I agree with those of you who don't care much for the peak time live mixes. It's just banging track after banging track and the programming just doesn't come as being so sophisticated to me. An exception to that would be the last 3 hours of the Montreal mix...which is just fucking nutty and awesome and has some old classics thrown in as well.

That said, I'm glad that Pigweed was featured on another essential mix, and I'm glad that, at least for the masses that attend a festival like EDC...something that's saturated with commercial music (both good and garbage alike), they got exposure to a masterclass artist like John Digweed.

I love it. Yes, it's peaktime. Yes, it's techno. Yes, it's not what most of Digweed's hardcore fans expect. But exactly because of that it's so so good. As far i am concerned Digweed has been always about new music, new sounds, pushing the boundaries more and more while keeping his signature deepness and darkness.. Also for the prog purists - note that he plays techno tracks but in all of them the proggy/trancey/trippy synths and melodies are present. This is Digweed at his best, so njoy ;-)

Not bad, but not as memorable as some of the older sets. I personally prefer the banging peak hour mixes, studio mixes are a dime a dozen. But I'm getting tired of this slow tempo....Why the hell does every house dj have to play at max 125 bpm these days? Ten years ago this was called down tempo, 20 years ago some would have called it chill out :D Peak hour house mixes should be sped up to 128-130 bpm like in the good ol' days.

It's so slow even dance to some mixes. People were a lot more animated years ago, because the beats were faster.
