This new project accumulates for years of hard work and marks the release of their very first album titled 'Equilibrium'. 02. Sotela & Javier Portilla feat. Emalaine - Your Eyes (King Unique Remix) [MoonChild Records | MOON31]
After several months since their last release, Moonchild Records returns with a whole new image and a fantastic pack from label owners Javier Portilla & Sotela.
The excellent track 'Your Eyes' features the amazing voice of canadian singer Emalaine. The Original is a big bass led gem, filthy edged, yet restrained, full of mystery and oozing coolness. The excellent vocals from Emalaine are sultry and lift the track to another level.
This superb journey is a melancholic winner for sure. 'King Unique' loved the track so much, after using it on his new DJ mix for Armada Music, he decided he needed to remix it himself! His mix is his debut on the label and to no surprise delivers a flawless remix. Taking us deeper than the Original, while retaining its key elements, this classy remake is seriously good. Clever vocal toning, meeting haunting emphatic details creating an emotional soundscape of the utmost quality.
And of that wasn't enough for you, the second remix comes from 'Juan Deminicis & Pablo Acenso', who are certainly no strangers to victorious productions. This impassioned wonder wraps you in its blanket of warmth, while its depth subtly meanders effortlessly creating a chasm of joy.
The release has been supported by big names as Sasha, Danny Tenaglia, Max Graham, Hernan Cattaneo, Jimmy Van M, Chris Fortier, Betoko, Henry Saiz, Nick Warren, Darin Epsilon, Cid Inc., Kassey Voorn, Paco Osuna, TILT, among others. Three superb versions of this vocal gem... Which is your favourite?

03. Joris Voorn - Fall (Vinyl Mix) (Nobody Knows LP) [Green | GR106LP]
Right from the moment go with the beat less introduction of "The Monk" the Amsterdam native provides a seamless fusion of organic and electronic sounds and despite an array of vocal features, the multilayered, classical ambiences throughout serve as a contrast reminder of who is at control of the mixing desk.
Through bright guitar, piano and synth combinations Voorn now has a wide range of instrumental talent at his disposal; the genius of creating music that's by turn as adventurous and as sweetly accessible as a pop song. His last single release 'Ringo' was one of the biggest tracks on Beatport for 2013, with huge radio support. A euphoric modern classic and unquestionable highlight of "Nobody Knows".
"Momo", with its simplistic, playful melodies is another standout personal addition to the album, its soothing and endearing touch unsurprisingly the result of a collaborative writing session between Joris and his father Joop Voorn.
Thrillingly visceral through tracks including "The Wild" and "Sweets for Piano" the LP forms a soundscape equally as dark, captivating and inspirational that makes for a unique listening experience.
Even in collaborations, the acoustic subtleties that sit beneath the electric pressures in tracks like "A House" that features Ninja Tunes Kid A are remarkable, a challenging level of compromise for any musician, yet in his latest full length album, that also features amongst others Matthew Dear on his own "Green" imprint he has achieved an impressive harmonic balance, and the results are staggering.

08. Gonno - 1227 To The End Slowly [unreleased]
Gonno is without a doubt an integral part of the current wave of house and techno in Japan. His releases have not only appeared on reputable local labels but have also made their way humbly over to the continent.
Both his "Hammersmith EP" (Re-active Recordings) and acid house stormer "WC Succession EP" (Perc Trax) received extensive DJ support and Gonno has been proudly graced with the nod of approval from scene veterans/maestros/demi-gods Josh Wink and Laurent Garnier.
His 2008 12 inch EP "I Don't Need Competition", featuring a Donnacha Costello remix, was a hit on the review circuit (Groove, De:bug etc.) with one review going as far as proclaiming it "a new generation of Detroit Techno".
Gonno always manages to bring an acidy and melodic flavor to his DJ and live sets while still staying true to his house and techno roots. Without fail he draws clubbers in with eclectic sounds and the lost art of storytelling behind the decks/machines. As a result of his infectious sets he's played in Berlin every year since 2007 and has played at the likes of Bar25, Tape Club and Ritter Butzke.
In recent years Gonno has even turned his hand to game music production in the form of tracks for a little game called "Gran Turismo 5" while at the same time remaining productive on the club music front. Last year his 12 inch "MERKUR 3" (Merkur Schallplatten) delighted Japanese deep house DJs in spite of a very limited vinyl release.
Gonno's upcoming release, featuring the tantalizingly named track "ACDise #2", has dropped in Autumn this year, and this EP has been played much by many DJs such as Laurent Garnier, James Holden, Tim Sweeney (Beats In Space), Todd Terje and so on.
