Curtiss is part of the most recent wave of DJs and producers to come out of Detroit, along with fellow Visionquest members [URL="http://www.mercuryserver.com/forums/djdb.php?id=1238"]Ryan Crosson[/URL], [URL="http://www.mercuryserver.com/forums/djdb.php?id=1237"]Shaun Reeves[/URL] and [URL="http://www.mercuryserver.com/forums/djdb.php?id=120"]Seth Troxler[/URL]. Despite being a cornerstone of that crew, he continues to play out and release records on his own, including recent 12-inches on Culprit, Cityfox and [URL="http://www.mercuryserver.com/forums/djdb.php?id=238"]Guy Gerber[/URL]'s Supplement Facts. On [I]Watergate 08[/I], he highlights a lot of new material by his friends and collaborators: Visionquest artists Footprintz and [URL="http://www.mercuryserver.com/forums/djdb.php?id=1289"]Tale of Us[/URL] both make the cut, as do two tracks from Supplement Facts. Reeves and Crosson both contribute remixes. The mix will be Watergate's first this year, following [URL="http://www.mercuryserver.com/forums/djdb.php?id=1522"]Lee Jones[/URL]' edition from last September.
