thought i remember reading he hates traveling/flying. i know he played WMC a few years back i think at proton pool party maybe.
Would love if if he was able to put a studio cd like balance or renaissance together, he is much deserving.
He would do a great Balance , but you have to travel to promote unfortunately. Renaissance is dead, and just when I learnt to spell it
I can accept and respect that he may not want to travel/fly but why can't he just keep his soundcloud up to date ??
Unkle , this may come as a shock  but I totally disagree with you , for once, on the "too human" thing. There are some very "human" Dj's that travel the world. :) Thank goodness !!

Argentinians are a very rare specie, lazy to say the least.. ;)
Re: Martin Garcia - Sub Forum
^^^ Definitely not all ;) Seriously I would find it hard to believe someone could achieve the level he has and be lazy, he may have other reasons not to travel, maybe he just doesn't like us

I understand you, for that reason I say that he´s "human" to be famous precisely because he is not like any other dj, for some reason he prioritizes something else. Hernan himself said, worst thing about being a DJ, are the voyages. Today in Tokyo, tomorrow in Australia :D next week Buenos Aires :D. Etc.

^^^ That's right rub it in :( He didn't make it to Australia :(
Hernan is spending more and more time in Argentina, he obviously loves his country very much. I think he would rather be in Argentina all the time, but like Australia , too far from where everything is happening :(

a Megathread for martin would be great

how is possible to do this ?
Re: Martin Garcia - Sub Forum
Here's his megathread:
http://www.mercuryserver.com/forums/djdb.php?id=Martin Garcia
If you create a thread that only has his sets, his DJ Database profile will no longer populate with sets!
Re: Martin Garcia - Sub Forum
I hate to say this guys, because I have come to appreciate his music enormously, but he is not really reliable enough. Too many rebroadcasts, we never get any tracklists or other sets from him except the radio show , and he doesn't even give us that. The rest of the world has probably no hope of ever seeing him. It's all his choice, but I don't think he deserves a sub forum.
Re: Martin Garcia - Sub Forum
Doesn't a sub forum require enough regular sets, and new threads, to warrant one? If it's just one show per week, the sub forum will stagnate. As it is, DD keeps the Cattaneo sub forum going ;)
Re: Martin Garcia - Sub Forum
^^ There are few regulars on Hernan's forum . Strangely enough making the music more accessible seems to result in less talk. The Hernan thread on ITM gets anywhere between 500 - 1000 views a week and it really does look as though I am the only one who goes there. I would love to know how many download the radio show. :)
Re: Martin Garcia - Sub Forum
i havent been downloading it regularly, but thats how i am with weekly shows, not really a big fan of them, id rather have 3 or 4 long sets annualy rather than a weekly one,,,tbh the only monthly show that i listened to regularly was the 360 show by pat baumel and nuno
Re: Martin Garcia - Sub Forum
The Martin Garcia radio shows are really good. And because he does rebroadcasts you only get a couple a month anyway. I don't think they save up their talent.

Re: Martin Garcia - Sub Forum
I was a little disappointed actually , he comes across as being a little arrogant. He wants everything to be on his terms. I think it is really good to be a perfectionist, but he doesn't really seem to want to share the joy with us and for me that is what music is all about. It really makes me see all the more why my hero is Hernan . He is every bit as uncompromising and a perfectionist as Martin is but I don't think he could survive without sharing. After reading that article , even though I really like his music, I don't think I would make a special effort to see Martin. Which I don't think would worry him a lot
@ unkle , You are very lucky to have him though. :)
Btw chuckc Marcelo Vasami would probably be my pick out of of unkle's list.
Re: Martin Garcia - Sub Forum
Meticulous in its retail mix and full of the sounds he uses in his celebrated sets, the DJ built a style that also featured him as producer. "In the lean option for energy or musical, I choose the latter. I do not try to like everybody, "she warns. BY JASMINE GRAZIA / PHOTOS: MARIANO MICHKIN "My obsession for the music I make is good, it was the reason why I'm not as massive, always preferred to focus my energy on the quality of my work and the dissemination of these." Martin Garcia Sums up the secret of his success elite. It is one of the pioneers of electronic music history of our country, sponsored by Hernan Cattaneo shared cabins around the world with Sasha, Digweed and Oakenfoald. It ranked number 50 in the DJ Mag ranking, but despite all these achievements preferred to keep a low profile. His public image is a great enigma. Many times I have called "dark" indestructible or surly in his personality, but these adjectives are far from reality, his shyness and professionalism when they do play incomprehensible to the public that follows it. Despite the image of "anti-hero", he earned the loyalty of the people who had not been valued by marketers and sold to fashion that has never been dressed as a clown to please. Until 14 years the music did not interest me even bothered me when my sister listened. I started going dancing at Cinema, Hernan Cattaneo played there and put something similar to what is now known as House. They were sounds that had never heard and loved it. My friends were going to get up and I put mine next to the cabin all night just to hear music. I did that for two years, during that time I was preparing and purchasing equipment. At age 16 I joined a friend and started playing music in different places: parties, discos and weddings. Luckily I always avoid putting things and I did not like that at that time were as fashionable as "El Puma udge Rodrig ..." During these years he was going to listen to bowling never bring myself to speak, later became a music and learned of the existence of the premises. I went and I saw him behind the counter could not believe it was my idol. I started to buy records and he was surprised by the kind of music I wanted, I called attention. After a while we became friends. Laburar accompanied him to Pacha and during the week we got together hours listening to records, Hernan taught me a lot of what we now know.
What benefits you brought this friendship? What happened to these? He traveled and came out with anything new that was ringing. Suddenly buying two promos that here or came and he gave me one of those, then I ended up taking things very forefront. It was hard to do what I liked in those years, the house was just starting, but I always managed to not put other music, I've lost jobs because of that attitude. There were hard times, had no money or for the "Bondi" but was the price paid for doing what I liked. DJ Dero, Diego Roca, Aldo Haydar and some that no longer work. Some are and others did their best to work no more, chose a path that led to fame in 5 minutes, gaining a lot of dosh, but being just a fad, the development of their career was cut short. Yes, I believe that is a fashion, as at this stage and won a lot of money that is leaving him standing throughout life, but it has nothing to do with what for me is good music. Last year took a subject that is identical to one of Coldplay, choosing formulas that have already been successful, it is hard to go wrong. These are people who started with the idea of making money and achieved, I respect him for his determination, not as an artist. I never take it up, I was always sure it would work, so perhaps I was right. I hear that since I started ... But in the lean option for energy or musical, I choose the latter. I do not try to like everyone, I work for the public today following me. The first night I did in 2000 Pacha puteaban me in all languages. However, continued "... At 16 I joined a friend and started playing music in different places: parties, discos and weddings. Luckily I always avoid putting things that I liked ... " You preferred to do what you like ignoring the fashions of the moment. What would have happened if it was? Could make a parallel with David Guetta? What do you think of people when he says Martin Garcia "long plate"? When you agree a date as you are not exposing Moonpark precisely what you're trying to avoid? People will listen to other Dj .. so for me it was fine. The public began to discriminate single, which was not disliked more and other people knew my style and adopted it. Luckily, there were several. I never did more than music and go out and play. I did not care to become a media figure, that time I invest in the work. That's part of what my audience likes. They know they will not listen to this topic elsewhere and that makes every night, musically, is unique. Yes, put them together like a score, based on the harmonies. I can spend all week working on it. I define my "sets" like a movie, so when I have dates that I can play two hours just try not to accept them would be like watching a movie from the middle. I have plan B, but all these years I worried about going to places that are in line with what I like to. I often do a theme and use it once, people appreciate that, is what makes the difference. Not so much for me, the decision is based on respect for people. My style and I'm not going to dress as a clown to be laughed at, but do not want to end up being disappointed. Yes, but I was always warm up in Moonpark. I am requested by the master artist and my function is to build a climate, nothing more. It's not as defining. The world has always been very strong not only gave Argentina ball. This gave the music of DJs Hernan and he chose to bring Martin Gonta, the owner of the electronic scene in the country. At the request of Tiesto, decided to lower the production of music in the best part of my set. Luckily most people realized I was not responsible for this. No. I have knowledge that Tiesto contract calls for the artist responsible for the warm up does not exceed certain beats per minute (speed of the music). I am very respectful in that sense when I was playing and never got over what had been agreed, it is for this reason that I never finished to understand why he made that decision and the approved production. Yes, once did a party called "Journey", that mark is mine, but I decided to leave out of respect to my former partner. I am currently putting together a digital label and have it ready when I do parties under the name. At the moment I'm working with Nikon.
Is not economically profitable, even you put money, but serves to stay in touch and edit things to other important artists. Furthermore, every time they send me things that are good, but we must improve and I know how to do that. Putting music. Before the business was in producing records or remixes, however today you have to do to play more. Across the industry was the same, internet and piracy forced the artists to go out and play, as the disc barely sold. If I do more track that study. I like once I'm in the place, but the issue of travel and I get tired a little, when I started it was all adrenaline. Bulgaria is the place most go, I have a large audience, I'm almost local. I also go to Romania, Serbia, Tunisia and Korea. "... I never did more than music and go out and play. I did not care to become a media figure, that time I invest in the work ... " Twitter seems invasive, I hate having my stuff. Facebook I have to have a return of the people and to communicate my work, but the overexposure is not going. In general they think I'm a bitter, no one could imagine that I get excited when I hear a piano note or draw I like to cook and walk my dog. In fact I have. I'm with my wife for ten years and she has nothing to do with this environment, not a groupie. We have a very normal and we chose that lifestyle. This work makes the most common things you think are the most valuable.
¿Sos aware of the imagination which was formed about you? So ... How do I earn money? Is it possible to live well being Dj? In my case, yes, but many times they have to pay to be very good. At the time of laburar not and one day before completing the ideas that came to them. go wrong, despite rent September think of anything I have a thousand Does your lifestyle is compatible with a family? Your lifestyle had to change? How true is this "inspiration"? Working in Europe too .. If not the inspiration, what makes you good as a DJ? The obsession to always do what I would have liked to hear. That need for thrill who will listen.
A bit hard to read , but you get the gist of it. Read it again and definitely arrogant !
