This event seems to get bigger and better every year. Anyone been before and is it worth a road trip??

I normally finishes at 9PM and the sound system is appalling due to complaints from local residents about the noise. The DJ's don't play for long either. But its a nice day out in the sun if the weather is good.

Id heard that about the sound system. Is it noticeably quieter due to this or is it still at a decent "club" level?

Re: South West Four - 2011

The few times I've been SW4 have been meh, however if your not fussy, you can have a great time there. If massive light and sound systems play a big role towards whether you have a top night, then maybe give SW4 a miss, and perhaps head on to Global Gathering.

Now that^^ is a likely option for me

Re: South West Four - 2011

I've not really fancied Global Gathering since they made it a two day event

Re: South West Four - 2011

The Bedrock Tent at SW4 was pretty neat ... but the sets are short 45 mins to a hour per DJ.

It was worth the trip just to hear Josh Wink - he blew me away and is back on this year :D

It's a great day if the suns out (last year it rained, so thank heavens for Bedrock being a tent) ... you can still male last orders. Hopefully there's a decent afterparty.

Lineup is good but you can't be happy with 45 to 60 minutes sets.. Anyway like Chunky said, looks like a nice day out if the weather is good

I would go lol
