Looks like I need to setup a PayPal account then as I don't currently have one.
you don't actually need one unless you think you will use it. You can pay through Paypal for random things like this by quoting an email address. Paypal make it as easy as possible for you to spend your money

Re: [ms] Shirts

I just got this email from the company I have been using to print my kansascitytechno shirts:
We're going to pass on this one. There are not enough shirts to make it cost efficient. I would suggest finding someone with a "direct to garment" printer. Try 10 minute Tshirts or screen tee gallery. Sorry for the inconvenience. If you can't find a solution, let us know and I will get you some more options.
:MadNow:

Only three people have pre-ordered a shirt so far--Garrick, AntonyM, Shpira. I will refund each of you your money back if you want it immediately. If you trust me to sit on it a bit longer, I'm going to try to find another place locally who I can trust to do the shirts. I might have problems with screen setup since nobody's placing orders yet, and I'm considering setting up a web store so everyone can order their shirts on demand without my intervention. If I go this step, I'll also refund each of you your cash when I decide to go this route.

I'm sorry guys. This place has been a huge pain in the ass since I started working with them

Call me a pessimist, but I was waiting until the first shirt had been shipped .

Re: [ms] Shirts

So I guess I'll wait for an update to the situation?

#1492305Post 66 of 80

Re: [ms] Shirts

With all the complaining about shirts over the years, I expected at least 50 people to approach me for a shirt. Seeing only four people actually commit is not only disappointing, but also not cost effective for me to do this project locally. The screens will cost about $90, meaning each shirt will cost at least $40 after paying all the overhead to get this setup and shipped.

I'm going to try to contact someone from spreadshirt.com to setup an online store. You'll each be able to order directly from their site when it's finished, and hopefully the overhead is lower since it's a large company who can eat the setup fees.

I'm going to refund the money back to the four members who requested a shirt. Thanks for trusting me to run with this, and I'm sorry it didn't turn out as originally planned. I will get something going on Spreadshirt within the next 2-3 weeks.

Re: [ms] Shirts

What happened? I thought we had until May 1st to pre pay for the shirt no? Have I missed a post somewhere in this thread that says otherwise?

#1492310Post 68 of 80

Re: [ms] Shirts

You should have kept the money anyway and buy Homegrove a new avatar.

Spreadshirt sounds cool, though.

Re: [ms] Shirts

I think the spreadshirt.com approach will be aces.

I was wondering the same thing...I was simply waiting until closer to May 1st to make my payment. If I had known it was needed sooner, I would of made it sooner.

Sorry things didn't work out as planned Adam....thank you so much for trying and all the hard work. Keep us posted :)

real sorry to hear all of this didn't work out...to be perfectly honest I am not all that surprised at the response...that said I would have liked to have had one for me. I think somewhere down the line I will miss this place :)

Re: [ms] Shirts

Well I'm still interested, and everyone who thought they had till May 1 were probably dragging their feet like me ... so I don't know what happened except the vendor said numbers were too low ...

#1492533Post 74 of 80

Re: [ms] Shirts

Yeah...I mean if you look at the numbers on the poll you would think we have enough...but when it came through to real numbers Adam got three...he can't really negotiate this with 51 $ in his wallet...that said...i suggest doing a design and sticking some adds in the banner bit...also I would love to see mercuryserver Dj themed t-shirts and I think that would be something everyone would want...like MercuryServer Hernan Cattaneo T shirt or Digweed....I mean we are effectively an elaborate fan club!

#1492545Post 75 of 80

Re: [ms] Shirts

We'd have to get permission from the DJs to do that I reckon ... plus then Pickle will have to contend with different numbers for different DJs and making them feasible which could spawn another logistical nightmare ... everyone cough up the dough and get this [ms] tshirt off the ground first!

Re: [ms] Shirts

What if someone

<<<<

"finance" it with say 200 bucks?

#1492815Post 77 of 80

Re: [ms] Shirts

so we have 5 members on here that were waiting until may 1st and then 4 members that paid... 5 more orders on top of the 4 already won't make much difference to offset the setup fees. now we get the 35+ members that put a size down and that'd be awesome!

sorry this didn't work adam. thanks for trying. i'm still interested in getting one if the other option works out. keep us posted, brutha!
