taken from the underground house messageboard. uncensored version

isnt he just the most amazing?i mean you really must be fucking wicked if you have the time to pose like jesus and act like you are conducting the whole dancefloor, and fuck me he has his own fireworks show, now that is really amazing, that is a true performer.i hope next he has the oakie dance troup come out and do interpretive mime dance to the sheeer epicness of such quality trance moments.

this is why house doesnt fill stadiums, because its boring to watch the dj. i think mark farina and derrick carter should come out dressed as medival knights and swordfight dramatically to the new cpen, while fred everything entertains the kids doing magic tricks. this would make house huge,in fact iam going to invest in a cape and learn to dj while chained in a tank of water while deadly sharks circle me.

He should do some target practice with their records...thats entertaining! seeing sasha spinnin then all of a sudden sasha yells "PULL!" two records come flying into the air and sasha pulls out the 12ga.

Re: Oakenfold appreciation

Smell the hatred. I don't know who we should hate next but I think we should round them up and kill them. Maybe its time to start burning Disco records again.

Opposed to standing there completely motion less playing music that he has no feeling for at all. When people dance in a club do they do it to music that they have no attachment to at all, because of course someone who was really into it would be stood there motionless. Something I don't see these days is that Freaky Dancing you used to get in the 90's, maybe because all them people where just there because they thought it was cool.

Re: Oakenfold appreciation

I started hating on him when I saw that he had a clock in front of him @ Giant when it was at Circus. He was paid 10K to play for one hour, and the TOOL did not play for 1 second longer. He made sure nobody could get close enough to talk to him or touch him.... That is why I don't like him.

Re: Oakenfold appreciation

Opposed to Danny Howells who played at SW4 and spent the whole 90 minutes of his set talking to his girlfriend. Maybe Oakenfold should sell himself short and offer to play the big clubs for free. Sasha said back in 2000 for playing the Bomb he would charge £200, for Fabric £10,000

Apparently Sasha turned up and played records sometimes, if he wasn't working on his artist album

NOT saying for free, not the point... just saying everyone there would have loved to hear an hour and one minute. Don't have a problem with the amount, just with the attitude he had then. Just my 2 cents worth.

but there was more talent in that 90 minute set of Danny's than jokenfold has put together in the last five years. If danny can dj like danny does will getting a blowjay from his gf, more power to him. ffs, danny could take any set oakey has played, take all the tracks that were used, and make it sound twice as good. srs.

i would literally bet the balance of my checking account on that right now.

#1427147Post 36 of 66

Re: Oakenfold appreciation

well as a new member of the danny howells fans, and an old member of the oakey sound. i would agree with 88 here that danny can make wonders happen more than oakey did. oakey was amazing but he went in a whole dif direction and now he's simply long gone to me in the music scene.

live in cuba set is till now in my top 5
