Some people stay nice even if they reached the top of the career ladder. Nick and Hernan were the only superstar dj's i saw who took requests from the audience via cell phones and actually reply to them by gestures or by typing reply to their cells. And that during the set.

I don't think they ever played what people asked but they did communicate (e.g. read what people show them on cell's display and reply).

I don't think they considered it rude, otherwise they would easily refuse or ignore them. You should go and see how hungarians party. Both Nick and Hernan play there more than once a year, this year Nick has 4 gigs there within 5 months and that says something about how he likes playing there. Im not hungarian but i envy their clubbing culture.

I think it is rude , I'm not speaking for them :) But because Nick and Hernan are such nice people they wouldn't complain anyway. :) I don't think asking Djs to play tunes is considered good manners anywhere. But it doesn't have anything to do with the clubbing culture. If you say Hungarian parties are great I believe you ! Haven't been lucky enough to go to one. :) I bet no one beats the Argentineans though !! As Nick said, the best place to DJ !! :D

Maybe beside all your whining about how crappy it looks to you that people communicate with dj's directly you should go and visit the party for once to see for yourself. There must be a reason these guys return to Hungary on a very regular basis and it's not the sun or money they are attracted to.

p.s. i don't think neither it's right to do requests i just wanted to show you that hernan and nick are very special when it comes to how nice they are to people even if they don't have to be.

No one's whining ,and we all agree these Djs are very special :) They are great guys!! We also all agree that it isn't polite to ask Djs for requests. No one is saying anything negative about Hungary or the parties. In fact no reason for you to get upset at all. :)

Btw I would love to party in Hungary :D

Seeing as how we are on a DJ's message board, you likely share the majority opinion on that, but if you were to ask regular people (non-dj's) if they thought it was rude, most people would just look at you funny.

Most of the people who actually go out for the music would feel the same way we do. But yeah, the regular people who go out to get trashed with their mates probably wouldn't know what I'm talking about. But then again it's highly unlikely I would be talking to them. :lol: I actually don't like interrupting anyone while they are working. :lol:
