Re: Warung - Brazil

^^^ See, it's just a guy thing which I don't get  Which is what I said at the beginning. ;) I don't want to watch it, I want to be a part of it.!! :D For me it's all about the dancing. !! :D Being up in the booth would actually be really uncomfortable for me. Because it also means thousands of people can be watching the booth.

The thing I am really jealous about is not being there for Chinese Massage - rockets and ponies. :( I've only ever danced to that in my lounge room :( oh and my workshop  Which was huge mistake, I knocked over a tin of woodstain

Btw kassio, I am always assuming the club has a really good sound system. If it didn't, the monitors might not be good either.
Great videos. !! :D I really don't get that "in the booth" thing you guys love, I would so much rather be down on the dancefloor with all the others dancing their arses off  I don't even like being in VIP areas  The music is soooooo much better on the dancefloor.! :D
Ameen to This DIDI.... i acutally hate VIP. most of ppl in the VIP are Wankers (most of the time)

Re: Warung - Brazil

well, it was different for me, been invited by Hernan to the event, and had a great time in the booth with him, talking to him and with my girl and diego, was amazing for me :) and certainly had my fair share of dancing too! it's incredible the energy you receive being there :)

LOL no dancing in the workshop anymore ? :D

I don't like the VIP kind of thing either and i definitely wouldn't feel comfortable being watched by thousands tbh :) BUT it would be a good experience.. i mean IF you were invited by Hernan to be there in the booth you would say no? especially you! ?? :D

DI , having a pair of good monitors is not as hard as having a whole good soundsystem imo.

Re: Warung - Brazil

I would say no, at the most say hello and take off, I know my place. See you guys are looking at what you want from Hernan, not what I would want. I get what I want on the dancefloor . :D

I get you on the monitors, but they are irrelevant to my dance experience, you know, out there on the dancefloor.

Re: Warung - Brazil

JZ is one guy you would want to be in the booth with, done it twice and every time it was a blast, i went home thinking that JZ staged everything and had a pre recorded set playing from how smooth he made things seem and the crazy tweaks with the efx, but i see your point too Di, there are def moments where you would just want to be between the crowds feeling the vibe the dj sets amongst them.

Re: Warung - Brazil

I don't even like being on JZ's dancefloor. His music is too harsh for me. I understand why people love him and I've been close enough to watch the wizardry and be suitably impressed by that :) But I neeeeed my melody.

#1446784Post 54 of 62

Re: Warung - Brazil

he'll give you melody, not like hernan of course, but he sometimes drops some unforgettable tingling melodies

Re: Warung - Brazil

JZ is undoubtedtly one of the most skillful ones out there and if he minimized he's skills a bit he could have been better imo
JZ is undoubtedtly one of the most skillful ones out there and if he minimized he's skills a bit he could have been better imo
Spot on, less wizardry, more melody !! We have a DJ here like that , Phil K , absolutely brilliant Dj , can play anything really well. But loves his wizardry as well, and I wish he didn't :(

Re: Warung - Brazil

^^ Never heard of Phil K before, they just love messing with the mixer and decks all the time these guys, I saw Max Graham scratch on vinyl before and he wasn't bad, he only did it for a couple minutes though.

#1446810Post 59 of 62

Re: Warung - Brazil

I've seen him abt 5 times live, 2 of them he wasnt wizardy at all, just real good tech/prog house, he kinda brought out the sasha in him the whole night and dropped hale bopp, def was one of the best shows i ever bben to.

#1446815Post 60 of 62

Re: Warung - Brazil

Maybe he is more like Phil K than I thought . :) When Phil plays a straight set I love him. !! :D
