"eXeem? is a brand new Peer-To-Peer program, which is based on the BitTorrent idea. eXeem? eliminates the need for trackers as nodes in the program will be taking their role. eXeem? also features easy publication of files to the network as well as a rating and comments system. eXeem? contains NO SPYWARE. (ed. note:  )eXeem? is free and is ad-supported. eXeem? is currently still in its beta testing phase, which means that the network might not be completely stable yet. You are still very welcome to give eXeem? a try and see how it is different from other Peer-To-Peer programs."

Re: Exeem

Whaoo hold on. eXeem does contain spyware, eXeem lite does not.

From slashdot: "Just days after the release of eXeem Open Beta comes eXeem lite 0.19 Public Beta. Much like with KaZaA, the official version of eXeem comes chock full of spy/adware -- specifically, cydoor. eXeem lite is spyware free and free of bloat -- and free. Version .20, which should fix a few minor bugs, is expected 'in next coming days.' (read: soon)"

And no they are not planning a Mac or Linux version

I'm ok with soulseek and e-mule, works very fine for me.

digweed gives no return, to see if it actually worked i looked up britney and even that had only 15 hits. so this prog has virtually no users (yet?) so not for me tnx

the guy that ran www.suprnova.org created this, i think. it's probably more for mainstream music rather than house...most people are into that mainstream garbage.

Actually the suprnova guy sold the name to some other company, he didn't actually have anything to do with exeem itself. Also this will likely be geared towards movie more than music.
