Esperanca is a great new track, it was # 1 on beatport for a little while, a little more trancey than usual, but still good, DT is one of the best DJs you'll ever see live, back to basics is still one of my favorite cds, can't wait for him and cox in NYC on the 4th of July !!!!

Out of all the CDs Danny has put out...GU Athens is the best IMO

Danny live is amazing.....nothing compares when he is on.

liked back2basics out of all of them...housey on disc1, tribal on disc2, imo DT is the only DJ who can blab, so it's ok.

definetly his best cds, athens is cool too, but his time was back in past, now there are different kinds of people on the scene, who dont care about old quality music, so danny stays on making new/old songs. maybe things will go to the better, but doubt it.

What does that have to do with anything. He still tours and plays out all the time. Don't think if he did not want to do it anymore he would not tour. Dt is good but he never can capture his live show on cd. That he is past his glory days and I think that pisses him off that why he talks so much shit about other djs.

Back2Basics is a great CD set - got it for $7 in a used CD shop in Boulder. :D

He just needs to quit whining so damn much...

Back 2 Basic was an OK CD - but I like the Tin Box. Looks great. I like the Athens & London Mix more. Would be nice to hear a new mix in the near future.

I still think Danny is amazing live. I just think that as he gets older he loses touch with all the younger club kids just getting into the scene. That's why you usually see the clubbing "veterans" defending him (especially in NYC) and the younger ones shitting on him. His London Mix imo is as good as any and Athens, Back to Basics, & Back to Mine stand the test of time as well. It's one thing if you don't like his music, but when it comes to passion & effort he's really one of the best ever...

after hearing some of his rants and seeing some of the elitist shit coming from his mouth and what goes on on his Dtourism board* i have lost any kind of respect for teneglia. the guy is a fucking tosspot IMO

The WMC parties like someone said earlier are the thing that stands out in my mind for Danny.

Danny also used to play in Ibiza and those paries were amazing too.

Regardless of all the crap surronding him right now like I said earlier......when he is on he is on. Some of the best night I have had out were with Danny in Miami and in Ibiza.

A lot of poeple that are posting about Danny have never seen him live. His attitude sucks, but he still has not injured anyone with a CD yet or thrown his decks in a swimming pool, Danny also seems to make it to his gigs on time too.

Most celebrities have shitty attitudes. Danny is minor leauge in attitudes compaired to most. So what if he is a whinny Ho. He still rocks when he wants to.

most diva djs leave their whining to stupid lists of demands to promoters etc. danny takes it a step further with his bitching and elitist attitudes towards fans.

i agree, when he is on, he cant be touched. but it could be hit or miss with him.

danny is 3 out of 6 of the performances I've seen. he always brings it in Miami. I wish I could say the same for his performances in nyc

This may sound odd, but I'm not really sure he's interested in "staying in touch" with younger clubbers, but prefers that younger clubbers discover what he's about on their own terms and in their own time. That's why he's NOT playing godawful new york hard house or trance, because he represents what New York has always been about: Music with soul that will kick your ass on the dance floor.

Younger clubbers whose only exposure to club music are huge corporate sponsored mainstream events won't "get" Danny at first and he knows that... He plays a type of music that's not as easily accessible as huge trance bombs or the mosquito pots & pans hard house that so many clubs feature. At first you won't understand it but then 3 hours later you're wondering what the fuck just happened. Trust me I've seen it so many times in NYC at his parties; young kids showing up for the first time saying "Yo who the fuck is this guy again?" on the line outside who I see 4 hours later losing their shit on the dance floor.

Basically it all boils down to whether you "get it" or not. And if you don't, that's ok. There's no point arguing taste here.

DT is the man. I loved everything he did in the past and still does. There's only a few dj's that can even move me , and he is by far one of those DJ's.

I tend to judge a dj by having the ability to make me dance happily especially when I'm tired as hell, Danny has had me dancing my ass off at 8am and then some (drug-free) so many times, he will always be my champion. There aren't many even in his league.

apparently after vinyl shut down he's been hanging out in miami. he will be at the roxy in nyc july 4th weekend.

There is a big difference between the Danny T music you can download or buy in the story, and what you get when you venture out to hear him spin.

I agree the material he has realeased is pretty lame, but everytime I've gone to hear him play it has been simply amazing. Dark, dirty, nasty tribal and progressive. Acapellas over exclusives, the man will twist your mind. Danny T is :RockOn:
