Makes sense to me.[/quote] The US Supreme Court ruled that a tomato was a vegetable due to the fact that, at the time, there was a tariff only on vegetables and not on fruits. So despite the fact that scientifically a tomato is classified as a fruit, the court ruled that a tomato is more commonly served with dinner, thus making it a vegetable and taxable. I found this quite interesting so I thought I'd share.
