The new Daft Punk album just landed on my desk and it's pretty impressive on first listen. I'm only 6 tracks in and I gotta say it's quite a bit darker, edgier and Kraftwerk-ier than the filtered-disco of previous albums. Only a few tracks are really dancefloor ready but as a whole it's a solid album.

Fingers crossed for some US dates!

I was a huge fan of their first album, "Homework", but then they lost me when they released "Discovery". I thought it was shite.

I'll check the new one out though ... Hope it's worth it.

im for sure more of a fan of daft's first cd, but i am downloading the new single as we speak, and will let ya know what i think.

i never really gave daft punk a good listen ... on the first pause i thought they were gonna be some new mtv trash substance.. maybe i'll give a listen again
