march 8th thru the 12th! kinda sucks being that early this year, especially for us here in louisiana. mardi gras is march 8th!

and i just read that ultra will still be at the end of march, the 25-27th. not that i would go, but it's weird that they're doing it at a different time.

yea it its. and now there's a rumor that the crosstown rebels - get lost party will still be in late march. i'm trying to find out more, but if so, that really sucks! i won't go to ultra, but that get lost party is by far my favorite party of the year! that could keep me from going to wmc!

I just saw on facebook that this party if def on the 26th! Oh boy....this is going to be stupid! How are we supposed to plan our vaca's?

the thing is, ULTRA is making or trying to make some of the bigger dj's sign exclusive agreements so they won't be able to play anywhere else that last week in March.. it's a bit of a mess at this point

because they couldn't secure a venue for the actual "WMC" on the weekend they normally schedule it.. from one of my mates "Rumor is WMC couldn't score a venue for that week so they were forced to move. Ultra and Beatport already booked their stuff for the regular week/weekend so pretty much all the big talent will be there then"

Wow..well, I'm going to have to see how this plays out before I book. But we may not hear about certain parties until way closer to March, which makes things difficult!

who plays at Ultra isn't even really the issue, if you read the information going around it's more a of cash grab and trying to monopolise the artists.. we just have to hope they see that and don't cave

What's funny is a lot of the people I meet at WMC and actually a lot of people I know all talk about Ultra like it's the best part of WMC.

I get the same thing, I kind of get it, if you're just getting into the scene or are all over the place with you're taste and of course love huge festivals, Ultra is a one stop shopping

i think the more people get into it they appreciate the smaller intimate venues.. i went to ultra once, lol, guess i had to see what it was all about.. couldn't wait to get back to the beach, lol

^^^ i went to ultra once also, my very first year at wmc in 2001. and i promised myself i would never go back. its that bad.

i think this is actually good being on a diff day,spaceguy makes sense.
