Hey guys was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for some heavy hitting iron pumping music?

My gym play list is something like this:

Wu- Tang - 36 chambers Mobb Deep - the infamous Notorious BIG - all albums Rammstain - all albums Metalica - load and reload DMX - flesh of my flesh Necro - brutality

Once in a while...i will listen to some electronics...but only sets I know by heart really...

Re: Workout music?

When I'm home music is turned on all day long, when I'm on the streets my Ipod shows me the way. So when I finally go workout, I really enjoy silence and concentration in my brain. It is also an opportunity to listen to the all the new bull shit that comes out of the FM radio.

Re: Workout music?

there´s a no-heavy album of a heavy band that I like very much. I don´t listen to the band, but only this cd: Paradise Lost - "host" It reminds me to depeche mode, but with good musicians :) try it, maybe you like it (you have load and reload in your list)

I like to listen to The Used, their latest album is called "Artwork," but I like all their albums... they have a new album coming out either by the end of this year or sometime during 2011... They are much better live, I've seen them twice when i was in college.

Re: Workout music?

Gave this mix a shot during a 12 mile bike ride yesterday... it actually wasn't bad... wouldn't listen to it unless I was working out though:

Kaskade - Live At Ultra Music Festival (Saturday March 16, 2013)

I hadn't even sampled it until I was working out, since I knew I wouldn't like it in any other setting.

Don't judge :Middlefi:

Re: Workout music?

^^^ Speaking of which, Kaskade has a pretty good work out set from either WMC 2012 or 2011... need to dig that up again.

Re: Workout music?

I enjoy really upbeat stuff while I'm working out lately. Guess you could call it poolside pop house. As soon as I leave the gym, I'm relieved to turn it off, but during a workout sesh it's usually good for what I need. Such as: Sam Feldt, Matvey Emerson, Niklas Ibach, Melodic Sounds.

Got some bluetooth headphones today, making my workouts much more enjoyable :).

What did you get? Been considering the JayBird Bluebuds.

#1745939Post 25 of 30

Re: Workout music?

^Actually, that's exactly what I got. Tried them at the gym yesterday. I definitely really liked not having a chord attached to my phone. Worked great in my pocket, even though instruction manual recommends having music source on your arm or wrist. Once I messed with the equalizer on my phone I got the sound I wanted, it's definitely good, not extremely loud, but I haven't use earbuds like these before, since they pretty much block out all other noises, the sound is loud enough, although could be a hair louder. I got mine at Best Buy, had a store credit. Otherwise I'd have bought them for $50 below.

I bought these: Amazon.com: Jaybird Freedom Sprint Bluetooth Headphones - Retail Packaging - Midnight Black: Cell Phones Accessories

But I'm seeing them cheaper here: Amazon.com: Jaybird Freedom Sprint Bluetooth Headphones featuring UltraHD Sound Quality (Bulk Packaged)[JF4 Black]: Cell Phones Accessories

^Evidently they just don't come with all the packaging. Just the headphones and charger and I assume the different earbud sizes.

how's the fit after you're sweating?

#1745946Post 27 of 30

Re: Workout music?

I was sweating like a pig after I ran and did chest/tri's - they stayed put perfectly and were comfortable. I felt a really big difference in my ability to focus on what I was doing, since all other noise was gone and music quality was better thus much more engaging.

Re: Workout music?

I would recommend Pantera Vulgar Display of Power :)

I've been listening to a lot of Girl Talk while working out.

Funny, I went back to my iphone 6 headphones, eventually the jaybirds were not loud enough and started slipping after about 6 months of use. Plus keeping them charged was annoying.
