So Smirnoff (Vodka) Canada is currently having a Canada-wide DJ contest. Short story is club DJs (with corporate sponsorship) from any genre were to submit a 60min mix to be rated by anyone who registers on the site. Out of the top 10, 3 compete in Toronto for the Canadian title this spring, and there'll be some sort of international meeting to determine the global winner in the summer (not sure if this is occuring or has occurred in your respective country as well). It's a very mainstream/commercial thing but I'm of the mindset that any bit of exposure helps, even if it is localized.

I'm currently in the running, but have a bit of ground to make up on the TOP 40/hiphop/mainstream guys (as far as I can tell, I'm one of the few 'proggy' guys in the whole contest). If you have a minute or so and you want to register & rate the mix of mine they're hosting (4/4 being the highest to yield 4 points) I would mos def be grateful:

1. visit "www.mysmirnoff.ca"
2. register: click on ?sign me up? ? see top right hand corner (registering takes a few moments)
3. after registering, on the left of the screen click on ?TO THE EXPERIENCE?, and then click ?VINYL WARRIORS?
4. On the top menu, click DJ SEARCH, enter ?Morrison? in ?DJ?s Name? and click on the search button
5. Click on ?listen and vote? and proceed accordingly

Would love to help you but you must register an address. I tried fooling the system by entering a fake postal code but it rejected it. I have no fucking clue what the postal codes are in the great white north. I know it's like 3 letters and then 3 numbers or something.

e.g. T5E 2J4 or V5T 1Y9
