Damn, this is the biggest publicity stunt I have seen in a long time. Adidas is racking mad cash for this. I do have to admit I do like some of the new adidas but I refuse to pay outragous prices fro shoes. I got my superstar II like 2 yrs ago and payed like 70 bucks for them. So I will wait until these are warn out then get some more. Bad thing is that there beat up as hell but that is when they get comfortable after a little wear and tear.

Erm... adidas aren't selling them at a premium, it's when the shops get hold of them, or they end up on eBay that you have to pay through the nose.

I paid ?70 for my Adidas "I Love London" from the shop, which is cheaper than most normal trainers/sneakers. I paid ?165 for the Adidas "I Love Berlin" from eBay. I have a feeling I'm gonna be spending a fair whack on the Lee Quinones.

I think when it comes to highly desireable items such as this, companies have no choice but to take a strict/extreme stance. If employees got first dibs on the goods, all the shoes would be out the back door before the public could get them and they'd all end up on eBay.

the good thing about being an employee, is the sample sales. we get dibs on items that never make it onto the shelves, so u'll be the only one with them in the whole world. but its really hard to find something nice though. but its still kewl to get the only pair in the whole world!! :lol:

Yes, I know everybody's sick of this thread now. But the Expression series was released in Portland today. I was the fourth person in line at the store this morning, got there about 30 minutes before they opened, and I STILL DID NOT get my size of the shoes I wanted. :evil: I don't think any of the people in front of me, got what they wanted either. Where the fvck did the shoes go then? Kind of dissappointed with how this second wave got handled. Then again the first wave was foobared too.
