My friend always stays at the Stratosphere on the strip, hes a man whose usually careful with his money.I found it significantly cheaper from Sun to Thurs nights.

The most important thing in Vegas is location -- being on the strip is KEY. It also depends upon how much time you plan to spend in your room or otherwise at your hotel.

My experience in Vegas tends to be that I spend VERY little time in my room, so it isn't worth blowing my wad, particularly if I'm just going with a bunch of dudes. It kinda sucks, but the Imperial Palace is on the strip, cheap and reasonably clean when I've been there. There is definitely a mullet factor there, but, like I said, I'm typically just needing a bed for a few hours a night and a shower, and I like to hit a lot of different places, so there is rarely any magic to where I actually have my room.

If I were going with my gal or planned to stay in one place, I'd stay at Mandalay Bay, Bellagio, or the Venetian. It is off the strip, but I've also had good experiences at the Hard Rock Hotel. Younger, hipper crowd.

Have fun and remember that what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.

Palms is not on the strip...kinda sucks!

Bellagio or Venitian 8)

You pretty much can't go wrong with any of the hotels on the strip. Excalibur is one of the worst, but cheaper then most. It depends on what your looking for.

#339172Post 10 of 23

jockey Club kinda like a mini apartment right in the middle of the strip next to the bellagio it is the perfect location all the clubs can be hit from there

#339185Post 11 of 23

Bellagio is tops if you go with a girlfriend/wife but its pricey. otherwise, check out Alladin. Its right across from Bellagio and its right in the middle of the strip which is the most important thing to consider. Alladin is also the closest to "Ice" which is the top club there at the moment.

#339189Post 12 of 23

jockey club is right across the street from alladin so your right in the midddle with both of these places

#339221Post 13 of 23

alladin is terrible, looks like shit on the inside, and outside actually Excalibur is pretty cheap and i thought is was pretty nice. can't comment on the others tho. ow we first checked in at alladin but we didn't like the rooms so we moved to the exalibur. and returned to the alladin only to eat because they had already given us coupons for free lunches.

Re: Hotel recommendations in Las Vegas

I visited Las Vegas 3 years ago and stayed at the Stardust Hotel, and it was ok. It's kind of old, but it was pretty cheap, around $60 for a double room, breakfast included.

Pool sucked IMO, but the interior and the machine games seemed ok, although I don't gamble so :?

And wasn't the movie Casino inspired by the owner of the hotel?

Just my 2c

Re: Hotel recommendations in Las Vegas

The Hotel-Mandalay Bay You can hit the best roof top club in town as of today, called the Mix. It's your best bet 8)

#339285Post 17 of 23

^^ mix is more of a lounge ...set up is ok... the places to be to listen to good music are... mon: foundation room tues: tabu, pure just opened with dj farsheed playing on the terrace (went last tuesday had so much fun, havent heard good music in a while) then teatro for after hours.. wed: tangerine patio (again farsheed) fri: pure (farsheed) the drais afterhours (depending on the djs mood he'll play good music... the later it gets the more shitty music he plays) sat: ice (only place bringing anybody good, eric morillo jan 29th)

if you dont care about the music (if you are on this board, then you probably do) hit up any other club... light (thurs/sun), body english (sun) ..mix (wed) other that that clubs are garbage here

#339292Post 18 of 23

^^ It sounds as if you can have just as much fun there going during the week as you can on the weekend. I'm definitely into hitting up some of the clubs while I'm out there. Going just during the week can also save some cash since hotel prices seem to go up during the weekends. Thanks for all the help everyone.

Re: Hotel recommendations in Las Vegas

Just got back from Vegas last week......def. was a bender! We stayed at the imperial palace, which is alright and the location is awesome. Like most people, I agree that it really doesn't matter where you stay but find a good location. If money isn't an issue I'd recommend Manadaly Bay.

#339306Post 20 of 23

to me tuesday is probably the best night to go out here.. weekends are just to packed...weekdays are more of a local vibe...

Re: Hotel recommendations in Las Vegas

I'm staying with some friends at Mandalay Bay next week. Sounds like Pure and Ice are pretty hot clubs? Is Tabu still good? I might go since Tiesto hangs out there.

Re: Hotel recommendations in Las Vegas

Just got back from NYE there. We stayed at Treasure Island. Pretty nice place. Some of the nicest rooms would be at the Venetian.
