$200 bux sounds reasonable for 5 events. it certainly is an 'event' when sasha is in town any more. more like a circus.

#338948Post 3 of 29

I bought mine... I want to terrorize him @ the meet & greet.

#338959Post 5 of 29

I think is a great idea...

#338972Post 6 of 29

So that's $40/venue? And you think that's reasonable Jib? I think that's fuckin' expensive. When guys like Howells, Digweed, Cass, ... are coming to Belgium we don't pay more then $15/venue. Are the prices allways that big in the states?

Re: Sasha's $200 "Fundacion" Season pass

Sounds like a bargain to me! The only time I've paid the equivalent of less than $20 to see Sasha was 11 years ago ? these days it's at least $30...

Don't forget there's a free bar for two hours as well ? and you could sell the signed season pass on eBay for $200

And you can "terrorize" him if you want :Naughty:

If only he'd do one of these in Europe ? I'd fly wherever once a month, no question. :D

5 nights at the club 10 hours of open bar drinking time in Hollywood (not cheap)

$200 is a total steal - if even just for the open-bar reception. I could blow through $40 of drinks in those 2 hours no problem. Might not remember the rest of the night, but I'm sure some sucker would be there with a camera to catch me vomiting on Sasha after my 8th tequila shot.

#339005Post 9 of 29

thats a very good deal...u would never get all that shit for $200 here..

Heck id pay $200 for the free bar alone....sweet..

Re: Sasha's $200 "Fundacion" Season pass

Well is great, but pay 200$ at once is beat hard, too expensive,is not the same than paying 40 each time,

#339040Post 11 of 29

Well, this is a very intresting news!!I love his music!!! Thank you!!

Re: Sasha's $200 "Fundacion" Season pass

when I first started clubbing- I would be outraged if I had to pay 10 Quid ($15) for a night out. They used to be more often 5 or 8 quid.

Clubbin' come a long way baby!

#339113Post 15 of 29

Re: Sasha's $200 "Fundacion" Season pass
01.12.2004 SASHA ANNOUNCES NEW RESIDENCIES From 1996 until 2001 Sasha and John Digweed played a monthly residency at the legendary Manhattan nightclub Twilo which gave birth to a unique, unparalleled movement in dance music culture. This winter, a little bit of magic returns to clubland as Sasha takes to the decks for the start of his new residencies. FUNDACION will allow Sasha to build on the introduction of the latest dj technology and play his trademark sets, not on turntables or through a mouse connected to his Apple laptop, but rather on a new custom-made controller made specifically for his Ableton Live set-up for a 100% digital experience.

The new controller will allow Sasha to not only to exhibit his stellar track selection and mixing skills, but to literally produce and remix music live. With the ability to sample, loop, and fuse elements from multiple songs at once through digital technology, Sasha helping revolutionise the live DJ performance.

?I?m building a custom controller because I think the idea of DJing with a mouse isn?t very cool. Everything on the screen can be manipulated with this controller.? Sasha told LA City Beat. ?The accessibility has taken some of the mystery away from DJing,? he continues. ?I used to come to America and play for people; there was no way they could get those records, and so there was a uniqueness to my sound. Now it?s everywhere, but that pushes it to another level. The technology will move things forward and enable you to give unique performances every time you play. A set of turntables and a mixer is not enough now. It?s time to move on.?

FUNDACION is presented in association with Giant at Avalon, Hollywood and Crobar, New York City.

Giant get things started with the opening party on Saturday, December 18 and thereafter-- January 29, February 26, March 19, April 23 and May 28

Crobar kick of their night with the announcement party on Friday, December 3 and thereafter-- February 4, March 4, April 1, May 6 and June 3

You will be able to purchase tickets to all Sasha?s shows through this website. More details to follow shortly.

S&D That would be nice.... Oh the memories. too bad mine aren't as good as yours, because you had Twilo.

#339232Post 22 of 29

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

twilo really was something else. me and tom/carmen had a long discussion over this last week. all about those famous special moments...i.e. xpander's first play with all the little disco balls, luzon's first play, diggers solo night after sasha's accident, the firedrill, the raid where all the pills hitting the floor sounded like rain. and a million more hazy drug fueled moments.

#339253Post 23 of 29

Twilo was the ultimate club, and I've still never met it's equal.

To think I used to not go every month for 10 hours of S&D....ugh....now I regret that decision.

Also had some great Howells on the way up parties there too.

And back when PVD was cool, dropping Avenue etc. Hard ass music

#339264Post 24 of 29

WORD. that place was THE place for it all. soooooo many random occurances and run-ins. i hope crobar can up the ante and bring back the vibe of the dark NYC underground. as to quote a friend"they really to turn off some lights in there." (C) im no fan of waxman as he is a bit trendy and they need to sever ties with mr. sanchez and vasquez. they attract such a guido posh crowd. i miss the days of t-shirts and sneakers in a club, sweating your ass off to mind fuck music. diggers brought it back i august but havent really had the feeling since.

#339438Post 25 of 29

Awsome deal. + all you need is a pickmeup.   Three greeens for ya. ha

Re: Sasha's $200 "Fundacion" Season pass

I would be all over that if I lived in LA. Too bad he never did something like that here in Florida. I know he was living in Sarasota for a while.

#339449Post 27 of 29

CU guys at Crobar, we can all sob about Twilo for a bit... But on a lighter note, if you get to the crobar website, tickets for Feb4th are now $20!!! Only till Monday, and then they go up! So get on it! 18/over show too, so all you kids can tell your parents you're sleeping over at Johnny's house and sneak out and dance till dawn!
]So that's $40/venue? And you think that's reasonable Jib?
with the 2 hour open bar each night (9-11pm) i think its a sweet deal. who doesnt want drinking included in entry fee? i sure as hell would. what country are your from again psynce? shirleytempleville?

#339500Post 29 of 29

It sounds like a good deal to me. You might just end up striking up a bit of a friendship with the man after meeting with him all those times. Become his drinking buddy and he might just let you into the dj booth with all the other 'Cool' dj's.
