Don't you guys agree that time also seems to speed up during times of intense joy. (Time seems to fly by while enjoying my favorite band in concert. Time seems like it stands still when at a shitty show)

I don't think the brain stops time at all. What I do think is that as the brain is trying to process so many different or new things it loses track of passing time. Instead it fills in the gaps as best it can. Whereas if you get stuck in a lift for a couple of hours it feels like all day or more as the brain has only that to deal with and little else.
