Re: FAO Florida people

Yeah rather just see three

Gonna pass going to see on 9/2/2010 some guy called John digweed @ the Kennedy!!!!!

#1397550Post 3 of 94

Re:

I take it that you've not heard Eddie Richards play out then? I can't say that I blame you for waiting until John's show, though. I was suprised that there is zero promotion for that event on The Kennedy's site. I only found the tour date on Digweed's tour calendar.

Re: FAO Florida people

can't believe the digweed party is 18+.. and a bit disappointed that three is opening too http://www.wantickets.com/Events/124230/John-Digweed-and-Three.aspx

Re: FAO Florida people

steve never been to the kennedy but i enjoy the small venues...plus its a thursday night doubt to many kids are gonna be out...just stoked he's playing close to home

only heard three open for sasha always blows me away i'm sure with three's style that he will pick it up very nicely

one of my friends said the kennedy has a good sound system???? what do you think graham cracker???

#1401670Post 8 of 94

Re: FAO Florida people

i've never heard anything positive about the place which is why I've never been and will never go.. the dance floor is tiny, the drinks are over priced.. etc

I'll wait till wmc next year to see him in a real venue =)

Chris has been pretty awful the last few times I've seen him and there are many more deserving dj's that should be opening

yes it's nice to have John booked near home, but he should at least be at the cafe, but they said they don't want to mess with the latin night, lmao.. what!?

#1401842Post 9 of 94

Re:

I agree that I wish John was booked at HPC other than at the Kennedy. I'm gonna go anyway & see what's happening. I haven't heard John play out in a while & I'll be plenty drunk before I get there anyway.:p

Re: FAO Florida people

i dont get why digs would play there. doesnt make any sense.

even HPC is just ok imo. seems like digweed should be at more of a real club but not sure if there is a venue that suits him in tampa area.

Re: FAO Florida people

^^ The Ritz, only down side is it's in Ybor

or Floyds @ the Hard Rock Hotel/Casino, at least they're open until 6am

#1401982Post 13 of 94

Re: FAO Florida people

can't you guys just be happy that digweed is playing in a very small venue!!!! fuck it

everytime i've seen three open for sasha he has been perrrrfect. even though it a lounge still digs for 3hrs of some of the newest hottest tracks makes my wanna go do the funking chicken

its ON like poop outta if the litter box

Jacksons is a bit of a "to be seen" type place, but when I played there, I played dark techy almost prog, and they were well up for it.. Paolo Mojo is playing there next month :)

#1405112Post 26 of 94

Re: FAO Florida people

my boy live 5mins from the gryphon and he said that they stay open till 7am but usually the closing dj comes on around 4 or so doubt they paid digs for a 6hr set

heard the kennedy paid an arm and a leg for digweed thats why the upped the prices on the tickets

steve get over your love hate with three and come out thursday night:)

Re: FAO Florida people

I used to go to Longboat Key every year to get together with extended family on the beach, etc... there is nothing even remotely close to a cool club within an hour of Longboat Key. But Sarasota in general is beautiful... you are about 2.5 hours from Miami though.

Re: FAO Florida people

Tampa's closer! any pointers for good place to go?

we might end up doing the stag there on saturday night

#1405301Post 29 of 94

Re: FAO Florida people

^I've never really had the desire to go out in Tampa besides seeing Sasha there, and Steve's boat party which was in nearby clearwater. Ybor city had it's clubbing reputation back in the 90's and '00's but nowadays I don't know what's good there.

maybe on friday nights i suppose jacksons is like that but on sat night it tends to be mostly south americans who like to dress up and party hard:twisted:

cant wait for paolo though, super psyched for that!

and i really need to find out when you're playing again, i missed you at jacksons...now that i have a kid i need to plan this shit out lol...

^Thanks Steve.

Who is confirmed going to this? Anyone want to split the cost of a hotel? I know a few people I could probably hit up, but no telling how far they are from The Kennedy.
