you know it's bad when it's not even 10am, and you're in the self check out line at the grocery store purchasing some strong ales, then going to the beach and trying not to get caught boozin in the sun

i've quit drinking at the drop of a dime before, like chipper. it's now been about 4 weeks since i quit this time... and everything is teh rocks. alcohol is a depressant, and is sloppy.

Tis the season to drink up a storm - I have promised myself a 3 month sabbatical from all forms of alcohol and bread from the 9th January 2012 - till then....... its party time!!!

^Work is kicking my ass right now, and I'm going back home in two weeks until Jan 8th, so same for me! Half my coworkers are in Cape Town too....thankfully they cover the night work while I'm asleep so I don't get paged. :lol:

I often say I'm chuckin' the booze, but deep down I really know I'm only kidding myself. I will say the accompanying hangovers are nearing the crippling stage the (almost) entire day after.

What I'm curious about is how you guys stay away from drinks when out. And did you find your social circle changing if/when you quit drinking completely.
My friend now has a breathalyser lock installed in his car due to drink driving offences in the past, and he was saying despite it being good that it ensures he doesn't drink (and a good excuse when people ask him to drink), he also finds it real boring being out and his social circle is slowly changing.
