Sorry if this doesnt belong in this forum, but what do you guys think of this...unique...set?

As Pete Tong states in the intro...Danny is known as a progressive DJ, but this mix is totally different. It really showcases what DJ'ing is all about imo. Not bounded by any "rules".

If you nobody here has heard it, PM me and I'll hook you up :) Unfortunately I don't have access to a dedicated server for all to download :(

there was a lot of discussion about that mix when it came out. a lot of mixed feelings. i really liked it. howells went out on a limb with that mix. the closest thing i ever heard to that was his 24/7 cd1 mix. great stuff.

I was just getting into "progressive" when this mix came out. I first heard it over a year ago though...around the time that 24:7 was coming out. And even though I enjoy CD1, this mix I couldn't get into as much (although the Massive Attack & Madonna track is amazing).

But I checked it out again now, and I must say that I think my tastes developed even further, I'm really diggin this sound. I applaud Danny for his choice to do a mix like this.

What about the Essential Mix he did back in '98? Was that good aswell? Never heard it. Haven't heard the one of 2002 eighter but I'm downloading that one as we speak.

i cant remember the one from 98 too well. the one from 02 really stood out as something different.

I still throw this mix in every once in awhile. It's a great change of pace and took me by surprise the first time I heard it.

this has to be the most amazing essential mix i have heard, id say its the best one in my collection, followed by jori hulkkonens 2002 set, those seem to be the essential mixes i always seem to go back to, and am addicted to them! ive been downloading ems since 1999, but have far from all of them!! what would be the top 10 best sets from you guys? i would like to check out more of the really high quality sets such as these ones. cheers

Funny, I just listened to this yesterday after not hearing it for a long time This is one of those mixes you can still throw on years from now and still enjoy it. It just shows how much Danny loves music, regardless of genre. And for that he's got my respect.
