Re: Structures
How long is the Vagabond-live mix?
Re: Structures
Haven't got that far...approaching end of disc 2!!
I like to do things in order lol. Watch this space...
Re: Structures
Only gave live mix 25 mins...was busting to watch documentary which is very good!
Live mix sounds like its from the very start.
Re: Structures
I also received my CD (signed; number 475 fyi ;) ) plus light blue T-shirt this morning. Went straight away to the DVD to ascertain the answer to Homegrove's question. The Vagabond set is 68 minutes, starting with In Search of Silver. Haven't listened to it all yet, owing to a hangover. But it's sounding good. Wish it had been a bit longer, it goes without saying, but for the price one shouldn't complain too much... Haven't listened to CD 1 yet, but CD 2 is canny. My hangover - I just heard S&D's Communicate for the first time this week, so was listening to CD 2 last night with vodka - precludes me from making any kind of judgment!

Re: Structures
^ x2 wtf
Re: Structures
Haha. What can I say? I was a late-comer onto the prog scene (2004) and there are several "seminal" albums I've only just got round to hearing/still need to buy.Though 2005 was when I first got my hands on Northern Exposure 1 (albeit the 1-CD version), which was a game-changer. Never to be bettered.
Not to derail this thread with my revelations, both remixes of Esperanza featured are quality.
Re: Structures
Awaiting my order patiently.
Re: Structures
vagabond!!!:hooray: fuck yes, i was there, awesome show, u guys are in for 20% something real gooood, thats the best treat from the man i can think of, i think im gonna buy the album twice just for this :glowsticks:
Re: Structures
looking forward to the live mix more than anything
Re: Structures
Both CDs are amazing! CD 1 is mostly elegant, and shifts up the gears late on; CD 2 is mostly comprised of "The Vortex". Fun will be had when you receive this CD :)

Re: Structures
Really silly question: Will the dvd work for us folks here in the states? Is it compatible with our players?

u would sure hope all the US orders would be packaged accordingly.
how is the documentary, does it compare in quality to the delty heavy doc?
Re: Structures
It's only 30 minutes and completely different, this more of an arty thing. Loved it.
All packages have region 0 DVDs in them so they'll play anywhere.

Even if it is PAL it will play on your computer. The U.S. is NTSC. :)
Re: Structures
the documentary is very good, the bit where he's playing down some back alley with some fellas on drums is awesome and that club in beunos airies looked fantastic. my cd was signed number 16 which i also thought was pretty cool :D
Re: Structures
you think i can find the cd in stores here in the US? or do i have to order it online?
Re: Structures
Just came home to my signed copy today. So much for a nap I guess. LOL
Re: Structures
how does this rank with the two previous bedrock comps? the idea of a third doesn't woo me so much...
in honor of Diggers release, though, i shall jam out to his may essential mix some more... thank you JD..
Re: Structures
for all that you get in the package, its an excellent value, def worth ordering.
i wonder how long it will take to reach the states. i ordered a signed copy from bedrock the first day it was available i am guessing last week in July but hope not.

I haven't LOVED anything he's put out since 2002 or 04... I LOVE THIS CD.... I ordered mine as soon as I heard the whole thing.

check out the kiss show just gone for a taster
can someone rip the audio out of the vagabond mix? i don't have a dvd player in my car and seeing as theres no footage running along with the dvd i fear i wont return to this as easy as i would want to or is that a no no due to this being commercial .....

that bodes well!
i loved the transitions series, but the comps when JD only pulls from his bedrock label haven't had any sticking power for me. i was lamenting this and questioning Diggers motives for about a day until i heard his new Essential Mix and remembered about all the great free radio and sets we get...

Seriously? Not even the Transition releases? This makes me nervous.
Re: Structures
Hey,
Just got the beatport release, can anyone who has the cd version rip the cuesheets for the 2 mixes for me so i can burn the continious mixes to cd with the tracks indented?
Homegrove, think you ripped the cues last year for me when bedrock 11 was released using exact audio copy.
Re: Structures
This is top! Way better than 10 and 11...

I liked the Transitions, don't get me wrong; I just love this new CD though. :)
And was your mind sufficiently blown? :D Gave Disc 2 another spin a couple of weekends ago......manic 8)
Haha. Almost! Needs a few more listens - and I haven't even touched CD 1 yet! It'll happen in time. At the moment my ears have been consumed by Structures, unsurprisingly. Wasn't expecting to receive it on Saturday. Just watched the documentary for the first time - absolute quality! Moved onto the Vagabond liveset. Think I'm going to have to buy the entire release digitally now if I want to get this onto my mp3 player.
:HolyFuck::UnderCov::drive::CandyPop::Nice:

I'm PISSED! My DVD won't play:( Anybody have an idea why? When I try to put it on PC some funny pop-up comes on and on my DVD player it says there's no playback option.
