Probably more of a poll than an actual thread but I'm curious to know the responses. If a promoter could get John Digweed to play at least a 6 hour set in an intimate club, how much would you pay? Let's assume the following in this fictional scenario:

• The club is located in the town which with you currently reside

• The club has perfect sound and is posh inside

• The club can hold a maximum of 400 people

• No lines to get into the club, all tickets are sold beforehand

Assuming the old school Twilo Digweed shows up and absolutely fucking destroys the club (which is never a sure bet after reading the reviews of NYE @ Giant), I'd be willing to pay at least $100.

How much would you pay?

if entry fee included bar tab, i'd pay $100 too.

The venue shouldn't charge more than 50, I'd say. Otherwise, you're stuck with a crowd of "VIPs" that could give a shit anyway.

The only reason that we assume the venue is local is so you don't have to travel. Let's just say the venue happens to be where you are the current moment, whether you are on vacation or not.

I paid $100 twice to see Digweed in the past. The first time was New Year's Day at Twilo January 1, 2000. That will go down as one of the best sets I've ever heard from Sasha and Digweed. Sasha was actually throwing glowsticks onto the dancefloor and Digweed was even dancing :!: They played until noon that night. The other time was New Year's Eve 2 years ago at Avalon in LA where Digweed played a 9 hour set. Both instances were in large clubs and both were amazing. The only way you get the proper experience with Digweed is if he's playing for at least 6 hours, by himself.

honestly, the "intamacy" wouldn't be a big draw for me, unless it was a private party for me and my friends. I much prefer diggers or any big DJ in a big ol' room with 1500 people, a crazy light system, and Phazon.

That said, I haven't seen Diggers in a while, so I'd probably be willing to drop $50 - $75 if I got guaranteed entry and didn't have to BS with lines.

I think ive gotten as intimate as im gonna get with Diggers so i`ll pass on this one.

The last time I payed for heard him in an Intimate Night, on a small club was $20, very cheap, right? no one pays more here.

Should be happening (read: not quite confirmed) in March in Boston @ Axis (capacity <800) and I'd be shocked if the cover was more than $20. Had Sander in that room in November on a Thurs. and they only charged $10.

Whole affair shouldn't top $70.
