for real, if i ever won the lottery or came into a crap load of cash, i would have to try to get my mits on a lotus.. they have like 200 or so hp but roll on like a 1700lb chassis.. what.. thats like an overpowered miata that actually looks like a sports car..

Sort of but not really. We have a version of this car in the states, but the main reason we won't get the bespoke FQ-400 is that they just wouldn't be able to sell enough of them to justify bringing it over. This is a very niche car.

That and I really have to wonder who exactly is going to fork over $80,000+ for a Mitsubishi, regardless of what preformance numbers they can get out of it.
Esprit...
By his description, he's talking about the Elise. Which has the 1.8 L Specific Output Toyota motor in it, tuned to 195 hp. But its quick as hell, and one of the best handling cars in the world because of its weight, mid-engine design, and overall go-kart like attributes. Tough to get one in the states, and if you did, I'd be worried of getting ran over by an SUV. That car is just tiny.

#333450Post 66 of 86

I thought buying super cars was all about getting pussy. Buying some grocery-getter looking car like the Mitsu FQ400 probably wouldn't acheive that.

:Naughty:

#333453Post 67 of 86

^^ I don't want a girl that wants me for my money. If I buy a car, I buy it for myself. And the FQ-400 would beat A LOT of cars. That's what I would want to achieve. Not getting pussy.

Re: Just got beaten by a Ferrari.

I wish the Civic Type R would be offered here in the states. I have the new generation Civic SI, which is a really fun car to drive, but it seems that the type R would even more fun.

^^ young mother's sporty coupe IMO

-e-

#333473Post 70 of 86

^^ nah the civer type R is an awesome car...

maddlingo why dont u just import one?? thats if u really want one..

#333480Post 71 of 86

for some reason CIVIC and SPORTY (no matter how much you modify them) cannot be in the same sentence... atleast for me

-e-

#333482Post 72 of 86

Why don't you just buy the Si and hop it up? It amazes me that people will spend 5,000 more from the factory when for the same 5,000 you could turbo the car yourself and have something that can rival cars that would shrug you off.

eh what?

If u ever see any of the best motoring clips...they always put the Nsx up against loads of supercars and the Nsx always wins...its unbeatable around the track..well against most bar and enzo maybe..

#333502Post 74 of 86

ummmm ok a heads up for ya bud....

^^ that picture is the HONDA S 2000 which is NOT = to NSX which is DEFO DEFO NOT = Civic.... I have nothing against honda's or even Civic's for that matter, its just that I dont remotely consider even the most super tuned CIVIC to enter the sports categories....

why not just get a dodge mini-van, take out the second row seats, dump a rocket engine in the cargo area and fly as FAST as you can.... that might make the need for speed category yea

-e-

#333519Post 75 of 86

sorry i was editing there...thats an Nsx aswell bud..i put the S2000 in there for good measure..well yeah the Civic typr R...over in europe wouldnt be on par as say and M3 csl or sports car catergory..

But as far as the american market goes...i think it deserves a sporty tag as realistically the new civic type r could prob have most cars out there like the vette and mustang..

I have an SI now and I'm overall quite pleased with it. I'm just not really into modifying cars and wouldn't know where to start. That stuff takes a lot of time and resources and you don't know if it will void the factory warranty and stuff like that . I would just rather have something straight out of the box that I wouldn't have to do anything to, if you know what I mean. It just seems like European and Asian countries get the better models of cars and we are stuck with the slower versions.

There's only one version of the STi here in the states, but it has a 2.5l instead of the 2.0-- 300hp/300 ft-lb right out of the box :D. Nice thing about STi is they have a cataloge and you can get pretty much everything that didn't come standard. I love those pink LCAs.
