Re: I bougth my new watch

the only real reason for a watch today is to impress people.
I couldn't disagree more. I couldn't give a flying Fcuck what other people think about me. I happen to love watches; I own over 40 of them, and not one was bought on the premise of what others might think. There are others out there that own watches for different reasons. The watch I'm wearing in the picture is nothing compared to a Patek Philippe, one day I?ll own one.
Good for you and your hobby honestly. Imo, most people buy watches as status symbols like a vehicle.

Re: I bougth my new watch

i like the way people buy watches for diving and timing things and do neither. plus, when diving is it really necessary to know the time. correct me if i'm wrong, but i'm not a diver or sprinter.
I disagree on both counts.... you can get from A-B while crawling, your feet, on a bicycle, by bus, yet people buy HUMVEES..... most assets for people are an extension of their ego's.... and in my opinion, after an automobile, the watch is the second strongest ego appearance...

as for diving... dude how else are you gonna remember when your oxygen is running out ??

i think you agreed with me instead of disagreed with me. my point and maybe I wasn't clear is that for most people watches are a status symbol and they buy watches with features the don't need or use. as for the diving, i didn't think of the timing of oxygen tank, so thanks for the info.
