So I read on the GU board that he's going to realease.

John Digweed - "Choice - A Collection of Classics"

Not to shabby for a series thats been done by Frankie Knuckles & Danny Tenaglia

To be honest with you it'll be just like back to mine. It's going to be tracks that have influenced Digweed. Same stuff diff. title album.

#331343Post 6 of 41

I don't want old shit from the Man.

Re: NEW Digweed Album Coming ( NOT Fabric)

When was the last time you heard him make an album with the shit he spins in a club? Be happy your getting this.

#331372Post 8 of 41

I can't wait to hear what mint tuneage he digs up from the dark ages. It is not every day we get a Digweed album.

It wasn`t esef who posted it was it?

#331412Post 10 of 41

Heards the same thing but I have not heard a release date yet. This was also posted on the bedrock board a couple of weeks ago.

#331444Post 11 of 41

Sometimes I think i'd be better off just downloading livesets from him. The last MMII cd IMO sucked. Too slow and too breaky. Though I do like tech house better than breaks.

#331448Post 12 of 41

I didn't like MMII myself. Hope this one is good...

in which case -- sweet! :)

ive not really heard any of this series... after my 'back to basics' tenaglia disapointment, ive not been in the mood to try new series :-\

#331456Post 14 of 41

i like MMII :|

#331479Post 15 of 41

lets see how this album goes .

i think he will deliver a exelent album

#331480Post 16 of 41

I would rather he release an album w/ new materials. But I'll take any Digweed album that I can get. Hope its good.

Re: NEW Digweed Album Coming ( NOT Fabric)

With a bit of luck he will tour with the album, and play a classics club set.

Now that would be cool

#331612Post 18 of 41

I waiting this CD!!!I love his music!!!He is my Number One!!! 8) :!:

Now that would be some shit I would DEFINITELY pay to see.

#331648Post 20 of 41

its gonna be dull - IMO

#331695Post 21 of 41

It is going to be wicked - all the other Choice cds have been great and it will be really interesting to hear the records John picks as his personal faves/influential tracks. No doubt he will dig some absolute gems out :D I can't wait.

#331769Post 22 of 41

I believe I just figured out why he makes these cd's that are NOT what he plays live. Simply put...to get more people to come and see him play that normally wouldn't if he kept putting out GU14-GU19 again and again. Though I know all his hardcore fans would love the hell out of that.

Just a simply thought from a not so simple mind.

#332437Post 27 of 41

i'm so sick of studio-mixed albums sounding nothing like what we expect or have heard from lives. usually they are slower, slow to energize up, and overall, boring. and ususally the huge discrepancy between the album and lives are explained with "it shows the diversity and multiple dimensions of the dj" or "he's not just stuck to one genre". bleh! seriously, when can we get some studio albums that go BANGGGG!!!! involver... yawwwn. kazell's driven was great tho.

#332448Post 28 of 41

He needs to do a new GU release, from a very recent set that will blow us away.

Or even better ... insted of rehashing the likes of Renaissance, how about digging out a 4 x CD box set from Twilo out of his vaults

#332458Post 29 of 41

sweet can wait

#332540Post 30 of 41

I think the Fabric cd will suprise many listeners.

Chem's been outed.

#332765Post 35 of 41

Album will be more about the music that influenced John Digweed rather than some of the classics from yesteryear from what I hear.
