Re: Cats

cats don't know how to resuscitate. at best, the cat was trying to get the attention of the cat.

Re: Cats

you'd be surprised how intelligent animals really are, and your ignorance to that kind of surprises actually.. just being honest :)

Re: Cats

I have been avoiding watching this video as I know it will make me cry, but from what I have heard it is very moving and very sad.

With that said, I agree with Steve....animals know far more then most people give them credit for. You hear of animals saving their owners and other animals in need all the time. Their loyalty to those who show them love knows no bounds....its truly a remarkable thing.

They are the best thing on this planet.

The video is of a kitty kneading his (or her) dead kitty friend and then lying down beside her (or him). Like he wants his friend to wake up. : ( I feel for the kitty who's lost his friend!

Re: Cats

i know this is a cat thread, but going on the fact that animals are brilliant.. did you guys see the story of the dog that led the police thru the snow to his owners burning house because the address was too hard to find? it's a short video, but it's really cool http://voices.washingtonpost.com/crime-scene/around-the-nation/video-dog-leads-alaska-police.html

Wow, what a good dog! After all these videos 88Mairner, do you still believe animals aren't intelligent enough to help those they love?

#1370274Post 15 of 48

Re: Cats

what gets me is, look at that video, after that long, a fucking LION still acts like a kitten around its previous owners after being in the wild... yet people can't control pit bulls? proof right there that these idiots with pit bulls are obviously just not bright enough to own a dog

a number of years ago when i had the chicken pox, my cat wouldn't leave my side, wherever i went he was right at my feet, when i laid down he was right next to me with his head on my chest and his paw on my arm... they know

#1370275Post 16 of 48

Re: Cats

^^^ exactly! And because of how those idiots treat and raise their pits that they have been banned from here. It sickens me that an entire breed (which is a loving, loyal breed at that) has been banned/black listed because of the actions of complete morons that raise and beat animals, then force them to fight their own kind for sport. They should have banned idiots, not dogs

Re: Cats

I've had cats for most of my life, although not now, too dangerous living on a main road. Although I do have one hanging around all the time. They love my backyard weeds :) They definitely have an empathy with us. Sad times they always seem to know. I shouldn't have watched any of that video. :(

dude, not cool. i have a pitbull and shes the best dog ive ever met. shes super obedient, shes an absolute softy around everyone, loves children, sleeps next to my cat and shares her food with him... i have met HUNDREDS of pitbulls in my life, as they are very popular im my city - maybe even the most common dog here is a pitbull cross - even tho they are "illegal". 9 times out of 10 most people cant even recognise a real pitbull.

in this day and age, you would think that this argument would be pretty defunct by now, considering that something as simple as a google search will show you how amazing these dogs can be. Whether it be: recieving a presidential commendation the only dog in history to do so - and was a pitbull, to saving flood victims in hurricane katrina, to the american breed temperment tests that rank the pitbull as 85.3% pass - putting it ahead in SAFETY to be around of dogs like Beagle 81% - http://www.atts.org/stats1.html.

these are serious tests which aim to give an accurate assesment of the breeds temperment, not just some bullshit rumour propagated for generations by ignorant bigots.

so all in all, until you own one, or have ACTUAL contact with real pitbulls and know what they are like, stfu, because i find that sort of shit fucking insulting to the best breed of dogs you can ever own.

and im sorry if i sound like a cunt, but i just get so sick of being on the recieving end of the world thinking my dog is dangerous. it just breaks my heart to see the life that these dogs get most of the time.

Re: Cats

I thought he was saying that the people who own pitbulls are crap?? And because of their rep, deserved or not, unfortunately that is why dickheads tend to choose them. Not you and Max of course :)

Hun he is so not talking about pits being bad dogs....Steve would never say anything hurtful towards an animal....he has the biggest heart in the world, and has the biggest soft spot for animals.

He is referring to the people that have given them a bad reputation by using them as fighting dogs and attack dogs, which has given them a bad rap. Pits are wonderful, loyal, and loving dogs....there are just a lot of horrible people out there turning them and their name into a horrible thing.

lol, relax mate, I was talking about the people that own the dogs, I love pit bulls, I love all animals.. I've probably saved/rescued more animals than you'll own in a life time ;) my mate has pit bull mix that he saved (took) from a family that had it roped up outside as if to get it ready for fighting. I was over there last night and that dog laid on my lap the whole time sleeping :)

Re: Cats

aww now i feel terrible. sorry Steve. i just re read that post and it was way too harsh sounding. thanks for being nice to my friends :) they need all the friends they can get :D i just get so fired up sometimes... especially about that :)

Re: Cats

trust me mate, so do i.. it's all good, just mis understanding it burns my ass to see animals mistreated

one of the bull dogs we rescued and fostered had been adopted previously, within about a month he was found chained to a tree (the chain had massive links and was barely long enough for him to turn around) in the middle of a park, no food, no water.. he was an amazing dog, build like a brick shit house, but so gentle.. we found him a great home with another bulldog in the family and he's happy as can be now!
