and get to see the man himself...

taken from the Bedrock board, although I'm nowhere near LA this is just too good not to pass on. Considering how devasting the effects of the tsunami have been they could all use our help... [quote]Please join us to kick off the new year in the spirit of humanity...

Monday Night Social and NextAid present a very special evening with John Digweed and the Bud Brothers to help raise funds for children affected by the tsunami disaster. John has graciously risen to the occasion in support of the cause and all proceeds will be donated to Save the Children for their relief efforts. This event also coincides with the last MNS at the infamous Las Palmas location which is being remodeled over the next four months. Look out for a new (temporary) location starting sometime in January.

Re: Help a good cause...

This set was off the damn hook! Digweed never fails... it doesn't matter if you leave the room or go out to the patio for a long time, when Digweed is on the decks, ohh... you'll know it's him playing.

He came out with some really solid bass techy bleep house the rocked the small intimate venue.

Croud was very please for after what was a long weekend and especially a Monday night.

Thanks John!!

actually the set was very similar to his recent kiss set Jan 2, live at bedrock's 6th b-day.

This set was very different from the NYE set...much better, and driving. Crazy intimate environment. Awesome time!

And I only heard one repeat tune from NYE...diggers at his best!

I'll really like to go but, I'm a bit far away from Hollywood. But I wish the support of all the people right there.

Re: Help a good cause...

Sorry for the late post... but I was at this venue too... Definitely redeemed himself to what he played after 12 on New Years. I didn't stop dancing all night at Las Palmas... I'm gonna miss Las Palmas while it's gone. Seen pretty good djs and artists there: Hybrid, Crystal Meth, Meat Katie... It was tight to see Digweed be there to end it before remodeling. I really want to hear this set again, but it probably wasn't even recorded... Amazing set though, I was personally upset at his set on New Years, I ended up leaving and going to Farina's tent all night.... But God isn't perfect either I guess. Digweed rocked it... hahahahaha... There was a little brawl though during the set, I found it quite amusing. Idiots by the speakers started boxing one another. Did anyone else see the fight?
