When your girl is pregnant did you guys get this Super Heightened sense of protectionism towards your girl?? I don't want to leave her side. I have never been like this before but all I know is that if some other guy I don't know comes within 10ft of her I get Super protective.

Basically is this normal?

Nothing could be more true. Hardest part for me is loving them so much and being so scared something could happen to them.

Unfortunately 3 weeks ago one of our friends went through tragic event and they lost their 11 month daughter, but I felt this pain and sorrow in my heart that I never felt before. This made a more worried about my kids ( my daughter is the same age) but it made me value them more than I ever done before.

That's horrible DZone. runningman being a father is truly the most challenging and also rewarding thing you'll ever do. Words cannot describe the first time you hold them, the look in their eyes when you walk in the door from work, watching them sleep at night. It's priceless mate.

Extremely sorry for their loss mate. Not sure how I would cope in a situation like that...

going through that right now, think about it all the time. It's fun because I had the same kind of question - but I guess it is very natural...

Re: Fathers or Fathers to be - A question...............

Ya in a year or two. It will be a really small wedding. I'm not big on the $50,000 wedding. We are both in agreement that the money we were gonna spend on the wedding we are going to put right into a house. I want the Canada market to come down a bit first.
