I agree. Loved the black background! It was a getaway from the other sites to drop into MS with the soothing black background.

And we're back! The forums are still running a job which may impact performance, so bear with any speed issues throughout the night. There are also plenty of quirks out there that Kamal and I are trying to address, but don't be afraid to bitch about them in the meantime :D

We're running a brand new version of our forum software, and have been working on this for about four months now. We realize that there are still plenty of things that we need to tweak/adjust over the coming days/weeks/months, but we were finally able to get things in a usable state and we just couldn't hold back any further. If you find anything wrong anywhere, please let me know so I can add it to the to-do list. Tomorrow we'll try to get some of our mods back in place (like the image resizer mod) to get this place feeling more like home. Expect many changes over the coming month!

i'm happy that the colour scheme is the same :D the design looks clean which i appreciate a lot not really fond of the bigger font everything seems bigger actually i dont get the homepage :what tho i like the last post preview

:) Once get a chance to get everything stable, we're going to investigate creation of content for the homepage. It has one sample article right now, but over time it's meant to be a portal to important/interesting/etc threads.

The top nav is missing the UserCP link that I always click on, UserCP is the central place for me to keep track of subscribed threads and forums.

I just added it to the "Quick Links" dropdown menu in the orange navbar for you too

I'll tweak that in a bit, that one of my contentions too. We've had major issues with the upgrade because we were working on beta releases of the software but vb released newer versions soo fast, they messed with the template settings more and we were almost back to scratch yesterday after the upgrade. That's why it took so long.

The forum is slow because some updating scripts to the new version are STILL running.

Is there any chance there could be a hide button for the massive Flash banner at the top of the page?

I think the banner could be left there for non-members, but give members the option to hide it?

And maybe the same for the gallery beneath the banner?

If you're running an ad blocker, you can simply 'block' the flash banner, but why would you? They rock :RockOn:

the only thing i noticed when i signed in, the little "remember me" check box was almost hidden.. anyone else notice that?

looks great otherwise.. as with anything new, people will piss and moan, just give it time to get used to it ;)

On the main Forum page in the events section, some of the type is outside of the border lines just fyi. Also, where is the Calendar?...I looked and can't find.

calendar us under Community >> Calendar. I'll look into the other issue, generally happens with LONG thread titles
