Re: Sir John Digweed Vaaagabond just got home WOWd

That was the most wicked set iv'e ever heard!!! If I retire now, ill say i heard the master spinning GOLD! From 5 on it was the most banging dark pounding progressive house, old Twilo shit. A form you never hear out anymore. Yes did hear a 2 dots remix in there. A tease of Saints and Sinners into I feel Love, and finished with Radiohead, the same mix he played at Pacha near the end of his set. Diggers ended by telling the crowd dont tell anyone about what happened here, its our secret! See you guys next year8)

This was by far the most intense and amazing set I've ever heard digweed play live. I was blown away. I saw him two months ago at Ruby Skye in SF and it was sooooo not even close. WOW

You guys are seriously making me into a digweed fan... searching for his Transitions' Louis Young guest cast stumbled me upon [MS] and now every time I read about a Digweed party, I can't wait to check him out. Wish I had a chance to see him last time he played in Canada at Guvernment... Sasha was a no-show at that event (now I'm learning that this is nearly expected behaviour out of Sasha).

Thanks for bringing the party to those of us who couldn't be there!

Two Bits -- what a great track. Can't find the Deep Dish - Casa de X remix mentioned here on You Tube to check it out though.

I would have said before that he wasn't the same (as good) as he had been pre 2004. However the man has been just as good or ever better since 2009. I just had a problem with the edm that was being played from 2005 to 2008. Do yourself a favor and see him spin for longer than four hours, it might change your life.

Yeah the electro era. It took a while for the last remnants of it to disappear. Some of it was OK but I was glad to see the back of it.

:D

It was a dark time in my life. My wife would get mad at me because we'd go clubbing, and I looked miserable cause of the music. I even caught myself yelling at some DJs which is incredibly rude... I just stopped going out for a while. BUT now everything is better for me. :D:D:D
 You really need to tell us more about this asap. And pics or....
ok, so, Tuesday night at B.E.D. I meet DJ Dory, really cool girl, great dj.. fast forward to Thursday after THE boat party I go back to the hotel to get ready to go to the Alternative Route label party at the Shine Basement (nice intimate little venue) while getting ready I apparently got into a bit too much :Blazed: <<<

So I head over to the party and my new friend Dory is spinning, the place is just filling in with people and very dark inside, so I go up to the decks to say hi, simple enough yeah, right, except for the fact there's a FUCKING PLATFORM in front of the stage that I failed to notice, as I step forward to shake her heand I hit the edge of the step and go face first into the table holding the cdjs and push it about 2 feet back into her falling onto the stage!

EPIC PARTY FAIL!

I've never felt like a bigger idiot in my life, the look on her face immmediately went from happy to see me to WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU JUST DO! LOL thankfully the music didnt come to a screeching halt, thank god for DIGITAL!

after this I went and sat down on my own for about 20 minutes trying to collect myself, lol

but, someone else must have tripped on the platform after me, because by the end of the night they had placed the white banner draped over it.

I ran into dory a few more times during the week, not literally, and all is well, lol

She played a couple of really good sets, the Balance party set was really nice!

check her out when you have a chance www.djdory.com

and that's my story :D

Re: Sir John Digweed Vaaagabond just got home WOWd

 LOL....smooth move Steve! I would've loved to have seen that one. When I was at Vagabond for John Digweed in 08 I wiped out trying to sit on that friggin hanging retro chair. It just slipped out from under me and I ended up with my ass on the floor and the swinging chair hitting me on the back of the head. Ultra embarrassing!!! The kind Neoee helped me up and I bolted out of the room into the courtyard thinking I was alone to get over my embarrassement but Neoee was right behind me. :what Anyway, he made me feel better by telling me about all of times his gf wiped out in clubs.

Re: Sir John Digweed Vaaagabond just got home WOWd

yes chanty, very smoooooov, lol the good thing is everyone has had their party foul Gregor helped me out the same way telling me of one of his "experiences"

I wish someone had it video taped, I'd love to see an animated gif of me going head first into the table, lol

lol, I didnt even ATTEMPT to sit in one of those!

Re: Sir John Digweed Vaaagabond just got home WOWd

what are these party fouls you speak of steve?

and i think vagabond learned a lesson about those chairs b/c they removed them early into guy j's set!
