Actually if you just listen to it selectively it's not bad. Faithless, Simian Mobile Disco, Christian Smith, Four Tet, Noisia & John 00 Flemming have all been excellent - and that's just the first 3 months of this year. Agree the crap quota seems to be at it's highest level since the dark days of 2001.
That said - I'm super excited to see Zabiela back! About we had Tenaglia back - 16 years and waiting :lol:

this is more of a background music E-mix from JZ (imo). I haven't really been up to speed with his live sets, but this doesn't sound like something he'd play live.

Somehow this concept mix probably wasn't what fans were expecting I actually think this mix will date really well like Oakenfolds in 1997 and Danny Howells first full essential mix think it was 2001 with the Beatles in it and the clash just give it time and it will grow

I really enjoyed this mix. It easily stands out from the rest of the recent Essential Mixes in my opinion. I liked the movie Moon so I didn't mind the sound clips; I thought they gave the mix a cool vibe. Yeah, concept mixes can be kind of unusual but I was feeling this one. Good job to Mr. Z.

I have to review my earlier comment...after listening to this mix again, it stared to grow on my and quite like it.
