i hear ya, having lived near LA, i sort of know the feeling... nothing is worse than not being able to breathe the air outside... I think breathing bad air over time can really affect a human, especially if they are used to clean air. hope society at large can figure out how to fix this issue so that our kids and their kids are able to enjoy clean air in the future.

Well burning enough coal to provide the energy for over a billion people is bound to create a bit of a problem. Maybe more nuclear power would be a good idea.
