Im starting this thread just to see what other djs are out there worth listening to. It would be awesome if you could recommend one that is not very well known and write something that you liked about the music that your new discovery spins .

Anyhow i just found mike huckaby one of detroit finest most prolific producers of all times . if you are into that deep soulfull detroit techhouse then you are in for a treat . I could listen to this mix on repeat mode all day ;)

Re: Which Dj is new on your list?

Scuba. He mostly plays dubstep and this is the first guy that's really got me into that sound. It's kinda atmospheric, reminds me of LTJ (pretty much the only d&b I listen to). Try out his new cd sub:stance, I'm really liking that at the moment. It's not really driving music, but I can listen to it at my desk while I'm working. His new artist album Triangulation is really good too, one of the better artist albums I've heard in quite sometime. He also play house under a different moniker. Check out his recent resident advisor podcast for starters. First half dubstep second half house.

I opened for Huckaby last year, guy is a phenomenal dj with a huge range. started out with some soulful house then into tech house into straight up gman style minimalist and ended with some classic house jams. impressed.

dj'd with Phil Stone from chicago last weekend, really impressed with his style. guy definitely digs for records. check out the autobrennt podcast.
